I believe Nick on here breeds them.... I may be wrong, but I know he breeds a lot of little mammals. He's from New York. You could pm him and ask. :) Good luck!

Maybe you should ask her to hop on the board and ask some questions. That may help to clarify some of her concerns, or explain things to her.

With fennecs, the only thing I think would be concerning is how loud they can be and that they don't potty train well. If you live in a duplex or apartment, I can see where noise could be an issue. Though she may find it annoying.

From what I've been told, they don't smell that bad--just keep the cage clean and bathe them. They're tiny, so they are easier to take care of just because of their size.

She is way to busy to go on here she does college and she works at a day care with15 3 year olds everyday 6:00 am- 6:00 pm and college 8:30 pm -12:00 pm she has the weekends but she usually rest all the time I am thinking of writing down this info to give to her. but who I really need to get this by is my dad he is great once he agrees he can tell my mom all the good this and might get her to agree but he is worried about their looks he says
Their ears are way to big and the tail is to bushy that is unpossible to brush
so yea I am going to write down this info so she can read it

Oh, and you don't have to brush a fennec at all. :icon-wink: They groom themselves. Fox tails are actually very fine and naturally fluffy. You can tell your dad that their ears are endearing. :) I think that's what makes them look so cute!

He seems really reputable to me--I've seen his ads for his other exotics all over the place--but I've never done any business with him or talked to him face-to-face. Also, the fact that he is in NY is a definite plus. :icon-wink:

Depending on where other breeders are located, the cost to have a kit shipped out to you would probably come out to be about the same as he sells his for (assuming he does indeed sell them, that is). I'll send him a PM and asks if he breeds fennecs. It would be pointless talking about it more, if he didn't.
