Only down side is they are expensive (but they are willing to work with a tight budget).
The few bad reviews I've come across aren't about Dr. Emerson.

I have been a very happy client of Best Care Pet Hospital for well over twenty years. Dr. Bosilevac is on board for my (hopefully) USDA Class C licensing and never hesitates to pull in whatever resources are necessary to work on a difficult case. He has an excellent working relationship with the Henry Doorly Zoo's veterinary staff.

Comment from Ash (sybils message board (Member and Moderator)

She is the vet you want. The others are good with domestics, but she has specialized in exotics. She absolutely adores them too, and isn't patronizing at all. Very good with the animals and knows how to interact around them. Defers to you always and asks if certain things are okay. She treats a variety of wildlife and reptiles. She's seen my two foxes and has always been really good with them.

If anyone needs a veterinarian in BC

Also I noticed a lot of people have trouble finding vets, you should ask a zoo in your area.

If you are planning on buying an exotic animal, PLEASE plan ahead.

1. Check with your state to see if that animal is legal.  (call your state DNR/Game    Commission)
Make sure you talk with the proper department. (usually will be the permit department)

2. Check with your local area to make sure they are legal (city, township, county)

3  Call your local veterinarian and ask if they treat the animal you are thinking of buying)

If you currently own a legal exotic animal  and need a vet

Call your Veterinarian and ask if they would treat (whatever animal you have)

If you can't find a  veterinarian in the list provided here, find all the veterinarians that are nearby and begin calling or emailing them.

Another option is to call the closest zoo and ask them who they use for a veterinarian.

FINAL NOTE:
Remember, most veterinarians  WILL NOT treat illegal animals.
Keep in mind, some species of animals is almost a MUST to have them fixed.
otherwise, you will have more problems than you bargain for.

REHAB CENTERS

If you find an injured or abandoned  babies, here is a list of rehab centers.
Make sure they will not kill the animal. Mostly with raccoons..
