Re: Weight management

Maybe a toy like this would be fun too. Here's Namira playing with a treat puzzle, where they have to slide a lid out of the way to get the treats. It's called the Leaps and Bounds Smart Snacker. I'm sure it'd be a pushover for raccoons, with their tiny hands, haha. https://www.instagram.com/p/BvfMh...

Re: Thogensen Family Farm Recalls Raw Frozen Ground Pet Food

Yes, it seems like this is a very small operation that sells locally. But I get the recall alerts by email so I post each one just in case.

As always, you should wash your hands every time you handle your pets' food/litter. Especially if you have children or immunocompromised people in your home.

Re: my new duck

I like ducks a lot. If I ever own a house with some property, I'd like to have a few.

Re: Weight management

I feed my cat 1/2 cup of dry cat food a day and she's still a little chunky at 12 lbs. Two, or even one, whole cup a day for an animal the size of a raccoon sounds like way too much. I put my cat's info into this calculator; I chose the grain free fish dry formula, with an ideal weight of 11 lbs and...

I think I know who you're talking about. He's actually from my hometown and used to have foxes and Canadian lynx too. Had a lot of bad press in the past if I remember correctly.

Re: Goat unsteady, wobbly

Have you called a vet and asked them? Can you take the goat to a vet or possibly have one make a house call?

Re: Help!! Found coon on road

It was probably hit by a car and may have had internal bleeding, possibly brain damage. There was probably nothing you could have done for it in the long run. In the future, do not take wild animals into your home, especially if they're out on the road in daylight like that. They could be very sick ...

Re: Dog Held By Scruff

Yeah the puppy thing is totally overreacting. I don't think the girl in the video meant the dog any harm at all. Sometimes you need to grab an animal. Grabbing it by the tail or leg might result in injury if the animal struggles. The neck is a strong and well-muscled body part, especially on a dog, ...

Re: Dog Held By Scruff

The Daily Fail strikes again. I don't take anything they publish seriously. Grabbing most mammals by the scruff is fine. That's where their mother would pick them up and simply holding their scruff isn't going to hurt them. It's when you pick an adult dog up off the ground by the scruff that can be ...

Prednisone is a steroid and helps inflammation. So it might help a little, yeah.
