Re: Pet jaguar personality?

Just from observation, I'd say cheetahs are the most docile and livable with humans... Not sure about jags. They seem a lot more primal, like leopards and tigers. Cheetahs also used to be used by humans to hunt (like how people used afghan and other sighthounds to hunt): https://theglyptodon.wordpre...

Re: EXPANDED DRY DOG FOOD RECALL, Vitamin D Toxicity Warning - 12/3/2018

I have heard a lot of people having bad experiences with Hill's products in general. I've also read on Dog Food Advisor, that the regular dry food itself is not that great of quality (only has 3 stars vs Taste of the Wild's 4.5 stars). It's not awful from purely an ingredient standpoint, but there a...

Re: Evolve, Sportsman’s Pride, and Triumph Dog Food Recall

On Chewy, I purchase their ToTW food, and I also purchase a variety of treats for them. Emo's favorites are the beef gullet sticks and beef trachea. Conte even likes the gullet sticks, they're easy for him to chew because they are so thin. Along with those I'll buy some bully sticks, soft turkey jer...

Re: Evolve, Sportsman’s Pride, and Triumph Dog Food Recall

There has been an expansion to this recall, I posted a new thread with the details.

The only dry food I feed the dogs is Taste of the Wild. The quality is good for the price and they haven't had any recalls since I started feeding it a few years ago. They also get raw and cooked food.

Re: Leopard seals?

They're gigantic (overall length 7.9–11.5 ft and weight is from 440 to 1,320 lb; pretty sure you can't own one as a pet. Unless you own an aquarium. They're also predators so they eat a lot of meat.

Re: wild fox question.

Maybe spread some coyote urine around where your animals are? That might keep whatever killed your peacock away.

I give my dogs Nexgard, we haven't had any issues with it. I'm guessing if the side effects were going to appear it'd probably be at first application?

If they ever get sick you won't be able to get them medical attention. Don't be selfish and keep them when you don't have the means to care for them.

Re: Emo

Thank you! She's going to be 13 years old this year.

I guess to follow up on my post from 2015, that skin issue is just seborrhea. If my mother manages to keep her brushed it doesn't get as bad as it did when I made that post. I was just up to visit them on Saturday and Emo is doing just fine.

If you hold his mouth shut, he'll eventually have no choice but to swallow.
