could anyone post this on their Facebook, or whatever they have for media. It is for Lucy (my beagle) She is totally blind from cataracts in both eyes. She can get surgery, but, it cost $1000.00 per eye. Even if I got one eye done, it is better than nothing at all.

Re: Ant Problems...

We had ants coming from somewhere, not sure how as we live in a second floor apartment. Put down some ant traps a few weeks ago, and they seem to be gone now.

Re: The legume Heart issue

If this is true, hopefully the manufacturers become aware of this, do some research and incorporate this into their processing of ingredients. I would very much like to see these companies publicly announce that they will implement this cooking of peas/potatoes/legumes to subvert this possibly very ...

Re: Emo

I visited my parents over the weekend, and took Emo for a bath at the local Pet Valu store. $10 to wash your own dog, no rabies vaccination documents required, since you're the one handling the dog. You get to use the tub, the velocity dryer, free shampoo, and towels. The dryer is the selling point ...

Re: Considering Arctic Fox

From what I remember, arctics are not as "tame" as reds are even when bred as a companion animal. IIRC their odor/urine is a lot stronger. It is not recommended to keep an arctic indoors due to this.

Re: Cat food "experiment" + comparison of wet foods

Interesting; never heard of that brand. Legumes don't seem to affect cats the way it does dogs. At least, research so far suggests. Namira is doing well on her new food. She's still mad she isn't getting crunchy food anymore, but she'll have to get over it. I bought 4 cases of Tiki Cat 3 oz cans fro...

Re: Cat food "experiment" + comparison of wet foods

Same here, she only wants crunchy, *cheap* dry food (she somehow seems to actually prefer the stuff that's cheaper with bright colors!), or very very well-minced meat in a lot of gravy/broth. This had made me suspect she might have had some kind of issue with her teeth or mouth, but the vet said she...

Re: Cat food "experiment" + comparison of wet foods

It was interesting and fun to do! I wouldn't be surprised if every single cat in a large-scale experiment had a different preference, haha.

Re: Why do some males hate females

Cats are not community-oriented animals like dogs are. When multiple live together, they will "fight" to establish a pecking order. Sometimes that is literal fighting or it is more passive-aggressive like ignoring.

Re: Cat food "experiment" + comparison of wet foods

Namira turned away a few different kinds of canned food. I believe we tried Friskies, Fancy Feast and one other brand, I can't remember the name. But the pate, she just doesn't like. The very finely minced/flaked meat in broth is much more palatable to her. Beggin strips aren't great. Most processed...

Re: Cat food "experiment" + comparison of wet foods

sometimes my aussie dog will steal the cat's canned food. guess a little bit won't hurt a dog  I have a high table I keep the cat food on. my beagle can't reach it. A little kitty food once in a while won't hurt your pup, haha. Glad your cats enjoy wet food. Some, like my cat, won't touch th...

Re: Cat food "experiment" + comparison of wet foods

Aaaaand we have our winners! Here are the winners of Namira's food experiment! WholeHearted and Tiki Cat. Out of all nine foods, she likes these the best. And they score pretty well regarding nutrition and price also! It's a step in the right direction vs an entirely dry food diet, and she actually ...
