Re: "Extinct" Javan Tiger Spotted in Wild

I think it's a leopard. From that distance and with so much grain in the photo, I think spot patterns could look like stripes. The head and tail also just scream leopard to me... Edit to add photo... Here is a Javan leopard; the body looks VERY similar to me, and if you unfocused your eyes a bit, th...

Re: Harnesses

I actually use a tiny martingale collar for my cat. Obviously I wouldn't want to yank on his little neck, but he can't slip it since it tightens against pulling.

I heard that his body was found in a bag on Krystelle's property…if true, that seems substantial evidence.

Re: The situation in Europe

Just thought I'd add the list of invasive species banned in Spain. Scientific names can be found here: http://www.i-ambiente.es/?q=noticias/estas-son-las-202-especies-exoticas-invasoras-prohibidas-en-espana" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; A lot of popular animals on there, such as fen...

Yes, actually, you can see them on the Wayback Machine, which saves old websites. Many of the forum posts aren't on there, but most of the articles are. http://archive.org/web/

Color Traits

I've heard it said that some color phases grow larger than others, smell less, are somewhat calmer, etc. Thought it would be nice to put those tendencies together in a thread!

Re: Salukis!

Thanks for the reply! That's really interesting about the European vs American lines too. I actually got to see some salukis the other when I visited a local show, it was awesome! I do hope to get a saluki when I'm finally able to have a dog, but for now stuck admiring from afar! In a few years hope...
