My grandparents have an emu chick that is around 6 months with a twisted leg, it started just a couple of weeks ago but it has started to limp. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Re: Bison/Buffalo as Cattle
If you are looking for a tame alternative to buffalo I suggest yaks. They can be used for packing, wool, meat, and milk. If you get some bottle calves they re dog tame. I even have a weanling that had no human interaction until I got it and it will not eat out of my hand. They require not special fe...

Re: yaks?
Quick update on the yak post, I now have two heifers. I will see if i can post pictures later. Yaks eat 1/4 the amount of cattle and have a lot more personality. They are more playful and are friendly when handled from a young age. One of my heifers was from a large range and the only interaction sh...

Mountain goats
Are mountain goats legal pets? Is there a place to purchase them? I wonder if mountain goats can be domesticated, like for packing use. I am not one of those people who get an animal just to have it, then neglect it. Ive found a ranch called the white elk ranch that raises live sale game. They even ...

Re: to eat meat or not?
My opinion on meat is that it should not be eaten too much, nor too little. one of my favorite meals is stir fry and rice. Eating meat or not sounds more like an opinion on your lifestyle. Re: Rhea breeder
I already have a wonderful pair of emus I have a few eggs on the incubator and a male incubating some. I'll see if maybe I can work with a male Rhea to get him less aggressive when he starts up, I know I will never get him to be tame as a dog, but maybe not aggressive.

Re: Rhea breeder
Thanks, I am thinking about hatching some eggs to keep the hens, then find someone who would raise a male till he is older to see if that will affect the aggression.
