Re: my beagle?

Mary, I forgot to mention that I do have eye drops for the red in her eyes that is related to her diabetes. The other eye drops I was referring to is for the cataracts she has. My vet did verify she has cataracts. I just hope the eye drops for cataracts will help her. I have read a lot of reviews ab...

Re: my beagle?

I just called the eye doctor vet yet again, left a message to what I wanted to do. If someone calls me back, I want to see what they will charge for one eye injection. I really don't know any other vets that would do that. There is one in Pittsburgh where my family is, I was going to call them, now ...

Re: FDA Cautions Pet Owners Not to Feed Texas Tripe Inc. Raw Pet Food (L. mono & Salmonella)

Thank you Juska for posting the recalls. I personally don't buy much or any dog foods. I make my pets home made food. my views are, it is cheaper than buying dog foods that could be and some are and were tainted. these dog food manufacturers should get fined in conjunction with refunded to the peopl...

Re: my beagle?

I am considering this eye drop for Lucy "https://www.lanomax.com/" It is $100.00 a bottle. However, from what I read, it most likely will take more than one bottle. still cheaper than eye surgery if it works. eye surgery is about $1000.00 or more for one eye. I doubt I would get that much ...

Re: Dog food rating list

has anyone heard of Nudges Natural Dog treats, made with real chicken?

it is a jerky treat, and says it is made in USA. I think it is much better than the beggin strips. It is made in US and I think ingredients are from the USA.

My dogs love them. I bought it at Sams club.

CBD OIL?

https://www.certapet.com/cbd-oil-for-dogs/ what is every ones thoughts on this? I was thinking of getting some for Lucy? They claim it is good for autoimmune disease for dogs. I will still give her pills for her auto immune disease. I accidently dropped and broke Lucy's diabetes injection bottle for...

Re: my beagle?

Yes the white pupils(black part) is cataracts. The red is from the diabetic retinopathy. The diabetes makes the blood vessels get blocked so new ones grow and block vision and they leak causing blood in the eye so the red pupils. If it's too advanced the retinas can detach then nothing can be done ...

Re: my beagle?

I hope you can get some answers from the vet surgeon. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Lucy. It sounds like you made a good choice to go with the insulin instead of putting her down. Hopefully keeping her blood sugars in check with reduce lots of the issues you've been seeing. Thank you Ash. There ...

Re: What some members here don't know.

Very helpful forum! I've loved animals since I was a kid and am now going to college to study them, including their care in captivity, so the information here is really useful. One of my interests is understanding the care, health and genetics of "exotic" animals. I especially love foxes,...

Re: What some members here don't know.

Pat, I've loved Sybil's ever since I found it. Before I owned a fox, it was recommended to read through every single fox post that was on here, and I DID, lol. Every single one (that's a lot, btw). The info gathered here is immense and invaluable. The board has gone through its ups and downs, drama...

Re: What some members here don't know.

The thanks/like you button probably only works if you are logged into the board. I've heard from people on FB that they come to look at info but don't login. I do think it will help though because a lot of times a person might like or appreciate something but really not have anything to add or not ...

Re: What some members here don't know.

A "thank you" or a "like"/"thumbs up" button would be a good way to see what people are coming here for, and looking for information on. that is my plan when I update this board. I think there is add on for that. There is a lot of different addons I can use. I just can...

Re: my beagle?

I just looked at Lucy's eyes again. the brown is darker, and the white part of her eyes, looks like it has red in them. I dropped off the info about the eye drops for Lucy's eyes at my vets last week. He said, it might work with getting a injection in her eyes first, then try the eye drops ....
