Re: my beagle?

Oh no. I hope you can get some answers after the vet visit is scheduled and gone to. thank you Ash. I am going to try and find a vet as soon as I can find one that will look at Lucy sooner. I think I know what happened. I posted it on gitabooks reply. it is just so heartbreaking for me and Lucy. I ...

Re: my beagle?

Poor Lucy. : ( Do her eyes seem swollen or larger than normal or just red? The main issues I've seen with dog eyes are cherry eye (when the third eyelid swells up), glaucoma (the eyes themselves swell), and cataracts. A lot of our older dogs have cataracts, and in some dogs it can start at a pretty...

Re: Why do some males hate females

I had 6 cats at one time. sadly my white one got hit by a car. he was my favorite. I now have 5 inddor/outdoor cats. mine all get along. when I feed them, I make sure everyone has their own dish. of course they want to all eat at the same time  juska and gitabooks reply is very good info. keep...

Re: wild fox question.

Dana, sorry for taking so long to reply. I printed out the info you suggested. I will see if I can find it. the only problem is, it would take a lot to border all my property. However, I can at least put it around the front pen. this fox is so bold, he will run across the property in front of gary a...

Re: my beagle?

I have another problem with Lucy. Her eyes are red. I have eye drops for her. nothing is working. I watched a video about massaging a part of the eye. I tried it, but, it is supposed to take about 10 days to work. something about the corona. also, she seems like she cannot see well. it is re...

Re: Considering Arctic Fox

artic foxes are more difficult to care for. they require cool weather year round. they do not litter train well or at all. red foxes will litter train. I know artics are beautiful, and I am sure it would be hard to resist. just please make sure of their proper needs. also, a good size enclosure is a...

Re: my new duck

I put him in a large dog crate on the front porch. put some food and water for him. I did give him some of one of my fox'es antibotics. it is liquid. I used an eye dropper and squirted a little in his mouth. I agree with you, there is only so much we can do as they get old. I can't even remember how...

Re: Vitamins

sometimes it is hard to change a raccoons natural sleep schedule. I try to pay attention to them during the day, but, if they could talk they would say to me "get the hell out of here bitch let me sleep when I want to. "

Re: my new duck

guess animals can be like people, animals personality can be different. Lucy is pretty easy going. Leo gets along with everyone. I think I got a picture of Mable and Lucy laying on the doggy cot. when I get time, I will try and post it. I agree with you, any animal that dies is upsetting. right now,...

Re: my new duck

thank you GitaBrooks. you are like me, it doesn't matter what animal we lose, we still get upset. I had some chickens killed by a wild fox. that fox is so bold, he actually made eye contact with me  he is still here, but, very hard to catch. I really don't want to use a leg. I know it was not ...

Re: my new duck

sadly, my duck (Mable her name) died yesterday icon-sad I bought her at an auction a while ago. I really did not know her age. before she died, I noticed her one eye was sealed shut. I wiped it with a warm cloth to try and get it open. but did not work. after she died, that eye was open. she was suc...

Re: Vitamins

Yatzee doesn't go outside. I try to get him to wake up before the sun goes down so he can get some sun in the window. Lately, he has been sleeping through the mornings and not getting up until 7 or 8pm. No sun. Should I give him vitamins? He eats grain free whitefish and chicken dry dog food. how o...
