Re: Montana bill to legalize pet foxes

Aw. Ok, we'll just have to try again. We aren't going anywhere now, and we have a long time to forge our arguments.

Re: ESA question

I know, we were planning on applying for training for a dog for him and seeing if my coworker at PetSmart can help train, but once we get a house and aren't stuck in apartments.

True. I can't get him to go for the full training of a service dog yet, but I'm going to try

Re: ESA question

The only thing we would be using it for would be flights and hotels for the rare trip to california. Other than that, we usually recognize when the other half is uncomfortable in public and needs to go home for 'medicinal cat hug' time.

Re: ESA question

Thank you, that does help. I'm off for part of Monday so I'll call out to some of the doctors in town who have met Matt and have seen him and Marco around town.

Re: Finally (almost) there

Thank you, that makes me much happier. A coworker of mine wants fennecs as well, so I'm going to bring up the idea of starting a thing with her.

ESA question

Hey guys. So, my husband and I have varying degrees of PTSD. I've been thinking of trying to get our middle cat, Marco, prescribed as an emotional support animal but the VA doesn't normally do those. Any suggestions?

Re: Finally (almost) there

So, you were right, Ash. Since starting work at PetSmart, I've learned that foxes are illegal in Montana. But we aren't giving up, that just means we'll have to wait for awhile.

Re: Finally (almost) there

Thank you, Ash! It won't be for awhile yet, since we still have to check everything and build a good enclosure before we start looking, but at least it isn't California

Finally (almost) there

Afternoon everyone! It's been a few years, not much has changed in the land of California-stan. But I'm happy to say that Matt and I are moving the 5 of us to Montana at the end of the week, so I'm hoping to have a permanent house soon where we can start setting up for foxes! Any advice from people?...

Re: Introducing Freyja

She's very cute! I grew up with a Malamute who liked dry wall. We used pepper as a deterrent. Mom would put some pepper juice on the wall he chewed to keep him away from it.

Re: Marco Issues

Hahaha! That's great! We got him a bag of kibble and natural cat food (I forgot the brand, I'll have to go look) and we but hot water over the kibble and let it cool off enough so he could eat it. He doesn't bolt it down for now, since it still looks like kibble, but he does it it, and hasn't had an...

Re: Marco Issues

Ok, thank you. We'll do that. We only have one pet store in the county and it's been interesting trying to get Marco to get in the car to go to the vet. The other two don't mind the ride or the place. I'll get him an appointment for next week since I have to work mornings this week.
