Re: looking to volunteer in WA

You might have a hard time finding anyplace with foxes. Washington state pulled all their Grandfather Rights for foxes this year. All businesses lost their Grandfather Permits and had to rehome their foxes (as well as cougars and wolves). They will not issue any new permits for foxes. Even places wi...

Re: Reds legal in Tennessee!!!

This is per a phone conversation with Walter Cook head of TWRA permits. Until July 1st import permits are $25 and possession permits are $25 after July first each will go up to $33 per year. All vulpes, vulpes must come from breeders that they have approved. At this point the only breeder who still ...

Re: Red fox breeders FL

Underground Reptiles is in Deerfield Beach, FL but if you went with them you would want to get the kit on the day they came in not after they had been sitting in the cage for weeks with people stressing them and exposing them to who knows what. http://undergroundreptiles.com/" onclick="window.open(t...

Re: Fox owning in Utah

Go to your city/county's Planning and Zoning office and ask them in person. Do not call them on the phone. Even if the city I live in (in Utah) they will tell you they are illegal over the phone but if you go in person and ask them print the code they are not banned. In my experience if you call the...

Re: Russian domestic fox program?

The progect is no longer funded by the government so it is safe in that regard. The foxes themselves are just over $3,000 the remaining amount is import fees, flights and misc fees to get them from there to the US. They are right at $8,900 and they are personally attended to and accompanied by Renee...

Re: Anya... ;_;

Ash if you go with the type of roofing Pat was talking about use MetalMart in Lehi. They have monthly out of stock sales and you can get them in anything from 6'-16' long sheets. When they get down to 100 or so of one color they clearance them out. I usually go in and get what I need and it's crazy ...

Re: Anya... ;_;

We live in the county and can hear the coyotes at night and I assumed the smell of the dog and all our other animals would keep them away but it didn't. I came around the corner of the house just after dark and there was one sniffing my trashcan. I screamed, turned around and ran back into the house...

Re: New Gizmo Diet

Wow!! You are amazing! I can't wait to try it. Do you also provide a dish with dry kibble to help keep their teeth free from buildup? I just have to figure out how to multiply it by 10 or so. :shrug: Thank you for all the effort and time you put into making these recipes to keep our babies healthy a...

Re: bald spot on Oy's tail?

Where is it at on Oy's tail? Is it at the tip or at the base? Its fairly common for the vixen to bite the tip (and sometimes the entire tail or even a limb) off when she is cleaning them and removing the umbilical cord after birth. If its at the very tip of Oy's tail there is a good chance it was du...

I completely agree. This will eat you for the rest of your life always wondering what might've happened. Please, please get the necropsy. If you're willing to set up an account or even PM the number for your vet I'll add to the donation to help cover the cost. You need this closure. What you said ab...

Re: Which *Blank* do you use for your pet fox(es)?

I'm a huge fan of the KONG comfort harness with the traffic loop. I wouldn't use anything other than an H-harness (its too easy to slip the other kinds) and we clip to both the harness and their regular neck collar. The main reason I like this harness is because with the loop I can quickly pull my f...

Re: Fable

Ash is you ever decide you want tires (like the huge kind they use to use in playgrounds) just let me know the approx. size and how many. We can save anything from regular car/truck size to the size they use on the underground mine equipment (like you could standup in the middle). I'd need a week or...

Re: Fable

Corrigated metal pipe is also nice to hang because its to light. I have about 20' that we need to put up but something seems to always come up. My husband welds so he is going to put a bar inside of it with pins sticking up so we can connect it to the top of the enclosures (and so its easy to remove...

Re: Fable

I wanted to throw in my 2 cents. We run a tire store so we're always trying to find a use for old tires. Anyways... we put 8-10 tires in a row and then drilled them across the bottom and top and slid in a piece of rebar (secure the two ends with a washer and a large nut). It keeps the top and bottom...
