Re: Tribble
I don't normally come on Sybil's Den much anymore due to personal reasons, but when RabbleFox told me what happened to Tribble, I knew I needed to come back. Jen Jen, I am so f*cking sorry, oh my god. Neither you nor Tribble deserved this. Especially you. Especially you who when through this first w...

Re: Issues brought on by UTI/FLUTD
Unfortunately, my vet never told me what type of crystals they were, other than the cat that he had crystals. I'll have to ask. I'm just ridiculously against the prescription diets; for the utter crap that they are, they should be cheaper. I hope that is the case about the antibiotics :( it started ...

Issues brought on by UTI/FLUTD
Hello everyone. It has been a while since I last posted, but today I come to you with a situation I have regarding my cat. Earlier this week I noticed that he was having trouble controlling his bladder; he ran down the stairs to my basement and left a trail of urine behind him. Concerned, I immediat...

Re: enclosure
Loki's outdoor kennel is on top of my deck! And I definitely don't recommend using OSB or plywood. I made that mistake. It soaks in smells and urine and feces and its just... terrible. Now I use FRP wall panels. They're like plastic panelling that you can sometimes find in bathrooms. They work great...

Re: Tame The Wild/The Fox Den Truth
Actually, I have heard through the grapevine that Krystelle has not changed her ways. I will not say who I have heard this from, to respect their privacy, but supposedly she has been asking others to pick up some gray kits for her, so she can take them across the border. And from what I have been to...

Re: foxes in Florida and Louisiana
A nongame quadruped exhibitor license is required to own a red fox or a gray fox in Louisiana. Other nonnative foxes aren't regulated, though, so they might be possible to own without a permit.

Re: Walking?
RabbleFox and I took my fox, Loki, hiking at my nature center once, and a woman and her young daughter followed us. The daughter actually ended up running behind us, so we moved off of the trail to let them pass. Instead, they stopped in front of us on the trail, and the woman asked if Loki was real...

Re: October crazies?
Loki never went through the October Crazies, so I can't really add any input on that, but I did want to say this: I am sure Abby1234 only confines her fox for bedtime. I do this for Loki, too. He stays in his kennel during the day, but at bedtime he sleeps in his crate. Loki has had this schedule si...

Re: This bothers me....
This was on the Did-You-Kno Tumblr as well. As soon as I saw it on my dashboard, I sent a message to the account, asking them to take it down because it most certainly was not a "fact." I provided heaps of evidence, and links to Sybil's Den as well as my own Tumblr blog about Loki. My mess...

Re: Outdoor Enclosure Ideas Pls1[
@Crafty I changed my mind on the 4' tall enclosure. I'll opt for a bigger one. But what do you think about the idea I have about opening up the cage and using the sliding door pet door combo? That way he could enter the house as he pleases. That way I could make a 5'x5' into a 10'x10' no? And about...

Re: Outdoor Enclosure Ideas Pls1[
So I was thinking of putting a 5'x5'x4' outdoor dog kennel where the BBQ is. I would have the patio wall divider and the sliding doors as other walls so I could make the kennel bigger right? The cage walls are A and B, so it would effectively make the a 5'x5'x6' cage a 10'x10'x6' cage if you includ...

Re: Outdoor Enclosure Ideas Pls1[
Whoa, what kind of fox are you thinking about getting? Because a 5x5x4 is no where near big enough! Also, if I read correctly, you live in Florida, which means you need a permit, and a 5x5x4 kennel does not even satisfy the requirements for a fennec fox or kit fox! Hopefully this will help you out: ...
Re: Fox #2
Congratulations! I am so excited for you! I can't wait to get another fox myself, but I know it is a long way in the future. I think Tiny Tracks takes deposits all year round. At the very least, I know they take deposits in September. I put my deposit for Loki down in September 2011. Haha, although,...

Re: New guy; new questions
Here is an article written by Ragtatter about invisible fences and foxes: http://www.thepetfox.net/2011/02/invisible-fences.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; She explains that foxes are not like dogs, they think differently, and reasons why an invisible fence will not work . You ne...
