She is gorgeous! Do you know if there's a more predominant gender that distributes? I got four P. Murinis years and years ago (orange baboon) in the hopes of getting a female - not a one. :/

Re: Sick raccoon

My kids have slowed down for winter, and will be in torpor by next month. During that, they sleep up to 18 hours a day, eat much less, and are generally slow, sleepy, a little bit clumsy. Do you normally carry her? It seems the coons who are in the house full time are more amenable to being carried ...

Re: Why do people hate exotic pets so much?

People love to control others, and they love even more someone to demonize. I don't think they "hate" exotics, or the caregivers. Certainly to see any animal locked in a dirty cage is absolutely infuriating and heartbreaking, but much worse when it's a wild creature. We can improve the ima...

Re: The gaze meets doge. (IMAGE HEAVY)

It's actually a tunnel for small human children, and it's held up really well! I don't think the cat tunnels are made from this same vinyl/canvas hybrid, they may not survive as well. This tunnel is FIVE years old! Got it from a garage sale for free. Still anxious about the eyes, even though t...

Re: Help for raccoon on Instagram asap!

Oh how awful. Just awful. If there's anything I can do, please let me know. How utterly horrible, it's one of my worst nightmares for one of my kids to fall ill and not to be able to get them care. I've got three separate vets with their records from the fear. :(

LOL, jude's been doing it too! If he didn't want to groom my toes at night and dig craters into the mattress it wouldn't be so bad!

I've noticed that Senora is MUCH more vocal than the boys. She makes sounds that scare everybody!
That's us girls, I reckon!

She special ordered it for my kids - its so awesome having a vet that is interested in them,
knows them, and really cares about them. If you send me your vet info, I'll forward it and
maybe get you the stuff! ♡♡♡

Re: Official Raccoon vaccine protocols

This is what I was given by the vet's office, so I presume so. They have taken a personal
interest in my boys, and have been in conversation with vets across the globe in regard to
raccoon habitat, diet, vaccinations and overall wellbeing. If there are any changes, I'll post
them here! :)

Re: Outside Enclosures

We've covered the air vents with wood boxes that are screwed into the walls and floors. Tried a lot of different stuff that failed before going to this extreme. If you're referring to the edges of the carpeting.... you can try some bitter apple spray, but if the draw is textural, it might not be eas...

Re: Counter surfing

Corso became a danger to himself and everybody else by turning in the hot water faucet at 3am, not knowing how to turn it back off, it was such a disaster. And of course the hot water frightened him into knocking everything off the counters. I taught down by being really mad, yelling NO. DOWN! and p...
