Re: Fable

Sheesh Ash. once you get your next batch of kits you'll have 7 foxes.

I think we should officially give you the title of "Crazy Fox Lady".

Re: USDA License?

In regards to Washington state. While the license isn't need to own a fox, it is needed to import the fox. Don't know if you already have one or plan on moving before getting one. Also from my brief research it didn't seem like there were any breeders in the state so you would have to import to get ...

Walks might help, but if your neighbors gave you trouble over dogs I would advise going someplace else for the walks.

Fox Gardens

Found a nifty article about arctic fox dens and how due to the foxes living there a nice colourful clump of stuff ends up growing there during the summer. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/2016/05/160520-arctic-foxes-animals-science-alaska/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=Social&utm_content=...

Re: Where to work with/spend time with foxes

A simple way would be to see if there are any rescues in your area that have foxes and volunteer there.

Re: Foxes in a house with reptiles

It's more about the smell. If you wash your hands and whatnot so you don't have the reptile's scent on you there won't be much issue. Someone on here has reptiles (snakes if i recall correctly) and has a fox. Genreally if the fox smells the reptiles scent on you, it could bite you as small reptiles ...

Re: My wife's Arctic Fox

Did he climb over the fence, or just jump down from high up on the fence onto the slab when he hit the roof? What you could do is sink some pavers and the bottom half of the fencing half a foot into the ground so he can dig a little without risk of escaping. That way you don't have to worry about hi...

Re: hit a wall with litter training

You can buy prebuilt panels. Also I think there are larger dog kennels you can get, but they usually lack a bottom and a top. They also require some assembly as well.

I don't think he ate it all. Especially if it was solid. He probably chewed on it for a bit then cached it.

USDA Experience Question

Can't seem to find the information myself, nor could I find the specific requirements for an USDA exhibitor permit. I know it takes at least a year of experience to get the USDA permit, does that experience have to be with the specific genus/species, could it be with just a similar animal or just ex...

Re: Fox Enclosure Step-by-step (IMAGE HEAVY)

As long as the enclosure has sides, top, and a bottom you'll be good. You can use chainlink, but you would need a second fencing as foxes can disassemble it. There are ways you can save costs here and there, but you have to keep an eye on the structural integrity. The plan for my enclosure when I ev...
