Re: Nessie got a brother!!

Yes it is ash, but we're loving every second. The raccoons have found a way to wiggle into my hubbys heart and I'm so glad for that... hubby doesn't mess with my foxes ate all really unless I need help so it is awesome to finally have what I'd consider as a family pet, and the fact that my house is ...

Re: Nessie got a brother!!

He's so super amazing, every one of my rescue/ rehome babies have been the biggest blessings... I'm always so nervous bringing one home that has bonded with someone else or been through allot, but they always surprise me. I am head over heels with all 6 of my babies, foxes and raccoons, and I'm so t...

Re: Nessie got a brother!!

So far, the only major thing I've noticed is he isn't as clingy to us as Ness is, but he's more outgoing and friendly towards strangers than Ness. He's also 5mo younger so I'm sure that plays a part. He's a bit better with a harness too so we're trying to keep up all the work she put into him with t...

Nessie got a brother!!

So i don't post often, but figured I should introduce my newest baby :) we've named him D'Artagnan and he's 5mo old. Ness is thrilled with her little brother and so are we. He was a rehome that I was contacted about and my first rehome raccoon. I've taken in 2 rehome foxes last yr, and couldn't be h...

Spoke to usda officer regarding confusion

I get people believing all the time they can breed and sell foxes without a usda license, so to answer that question once and for all i emailed them. The bit she mentioned about tn isn't very detailed, as to breed in tn you need a usda,a propagation permit, and a twra permit. but that's not the impo...

Re: Water Ideas For Issac the Coonie

I don't know how to help inside the cage, because Ness free roams... But she has a water bowl in the tub and that keeps everything less messy

Re: Best supplies for a new fox owner

They have to be pulled from parents and hand raised at a couple weeks old, but it's not easy or cheap to become usda licensed. and arctics can have 2-8kits, sometimes even more. Feeding them is a full time job and if you parent raise then they aren't as good pet material

Re: Best supplies for a new fox owner

Most foxes will not sleep with you or cuddle, they chose their own place to sleep and aren't cuddly animals normally. But as long as you socialize the fox to the people you live with anyone of you should be able feed

Re: Best supplies for a new fox owner

Idk if a balcony would work or not without seeing pictures and knowing what you'd change to make it safe and fun. You'll definitely need a vet experienced and willing to see a fox though. I have heated seats, but my foxes never sit in them, because they stay in their crate unless I'm holding them, i...

Re: Best supplies for a new fox owner

As for car rides, the worst I've had is them pooping in the crate or somewhere in the car, so I guess I'm lucky lol. My 2 red females go out with me in public quite a bit, and will sleep in their crate during the car ride or lay in my lap and sleep(If hubby is driving only, I don't risk trying to dr...
