Re: 4.5 month old blind pet raccoon pacing in circles

The end of the penis has a slit in it. Males should have a penis more belly area, females are lower kinda between the legs like dogs. I think the main question would be how long is he pacing? I'm not a raccoon owner but one of my anteaters in the past would run circles around the coffee table for aw...

Re: Vegetarianism and Veganism

Maybe considered a bit more supplement that food but I have some hemp protein powder in the fridge. Not only is it loaded with protein but it's got lots of iron and a bunch of other minerals too. Whey protein powder is another option, long as not looking for vegan sources.

The Piebald was from an ad. Maybe it was taken down. If I saved it, it will be on my computer that's in the shop, it may come back with a new drive.

Re: Hi everyone - greetings, background, my fuzzy fam

The article I linked says they are having a negative impact on nesting birds in Utah but the main issue seems to be that the lack of coyotes allowed foxes to bloom to levels higher than they normally would have been. Trying to balance what we have unbalanced can get complicated. I really don't agree...

Re: Vegetarianism and Veganism

Plants react to negative stimuli. They will defend themselves, warn others. They will even react negatively to sounds that can mean danger to them. Trees even communicate and help each other through their root systems. You can even put a plant "to sleep" with human anesthetics. In 2014, a ...

Re: Vegetarianism and Veganism

A cruelty free existence is not possible. No matter who or what you are something dies in order for you to live. That's life, life brings death. Unless you only have herbivores as pets you are not really vegan because animals are being raised and killed to feed your pets, which are a choice and not ...

They are apparently okay with grapes in a skunks diet too https://screenshotscdn.firefoxusercontent.com/images/c9253866-a289-4ed0-b672-eee51834c16b.png Some skunks have gotten sick or died from eating grapes or raisins - Skunk Haven Grapes and raisins are known to be fatal to skunks- http://mephitis...

Re: Hi everyone - greetings, background, my fuzzy fam

Red fox are considered both invasive and native to Oregon and Washington. There is a native subspecies to some areas but released red foxes from fur farms have pretty much taken over everywhere. Still kind of weird to say a subspecies of the same species that is native is invasive but I guess there'...

Re: Grapes

No, it's the fruit, that's one thing they do know. There was a study on that and seed and peel totally removed from the fruit was okay. Grape seed extract actually helped Hyzzie with her kidney issues, I looked into that before giving it. It happens within hours to days if toxicity happens, it does ...

Re: Grapes

Personally if I had one, I wouldn't feed it grapes just to be safe. There are tons of other things you can feed. I'm sure tons of raccoons are fed grapes and are fine but it's a weird thing. Tons of dogs were fed grapes and were fine too, even my own, prior to the news they were bad. It took the ani...

Re: Deffinition of Emotional Support Animals will be changed

They are still working on changing the legal code it's self about this. Very much is sounding like it might be limited to small service dogs unless in a carrier, then some smaller ESA's might be allowed but not most species.

Re: Deffinition of Emotional Support Animals will be changed

I agree if an animal is well controlled or enclosed it maybe should be allowed in cabin. But no it's not okay to abuse this loophole. The problem is when people fake service animals and emotional support animals it then becomes harder and harder for people who really need them. ADA used to allow any...

Elephant eyes

Some neat info about elephant eyes and their tears https://www.whyanimalsdothething.com/elephants-dont-cry/ It's also cool to read for me because Tamandua also have white tears at times and accessory hairs, short hairs in their case all over the eyelid, rather than actual eyelashes. Maybe they also ...

Will add this to the list but putting it here first so people know it's new but will eventually combine.

Re: Any body from Florida?

Yes it's the law to euthanize and test any animal that bites that does not have an approved rabies vaccine for it. While other tests exist they are still not as accurate as a brain biopsy(because rabies is a weird nervous system disease) so they go with the most accurate by law. The only out for the...
