Re: Alaskan Noble Companion Dogs

None of the pics were stolen though they were just remote linked back to the site they were found on. All the owner has to do is disable remote linking. But I changed them to just links to make them happy. Edit: This would fall under fair use anyway since part of a discussion and they are cited sinc...

Re: Rugose Stag Beetle

They are very strict about insects being imported and crossing state lines due to invasion risk.

Re: Getting a fox

Sounds like you are only just learning about them. So this should help, by our co-admin Ash https://www.wildhearts-exoticanimals.com/caresheets You want to avoid discipline they will just hold it against you. Time outs are okay, but no physical reprimands, even just those doing tap to the nose usual...

Re: Dew Claws

Interesting. Of course most pets that practice sees are probably house pets. I know my first dog broke her dew claws a lot. She was real active but she was my childhood dog and don't think her claws got trimmed either. I was glad when Beaker came without his but it's interesting to see they actually...

Dew Claws

The Function of Dewclaws 101 Front dewclaws are typically removed by some at 3-5 days of age, because they are believed to be a non-functional digit that poses an unnecessary risk for being injured. In standing, the front dewclaw may not appear to be functional because it doesn't come in contact wi...

Re: Bathing "rat"

Outrage culture. Rats might be my favorite species. How much can we hope or expect for a rat in a third world country? It's the stupidest, most myopic take of all time. He's loved. Enjoy that, for crying out loud. Oy gevaldt, the internet can be exasperating. I made the mistake of looking at ...

Re: Bathing "rat"

Maybe. They used to be endangered by IUCN list but are now least concern and not CITES listed so would depend on if any country that has them lets them out, probably would be possible. Sounds like they are similar to Hutia, really friendly when human raised.

http://www.iflscience.com/plants-and-animals/theres-something-you-need-to-know-about-shower-rat-the-rat-who-loves-taking-showers/ Okay the guy who posted it is obviously lying about it being a random find so that doesn't help but it sucks that people are now calling it cruel. Rugose Stag Beetle

http://www.birdspiders.com/gallery/var/resizes/Other-Invertebrates/c2bfgq6l5z.jpg?m=1297138769 Just had one of these things flying around my room. The photo I tried to take didn't work out so taken from the web. I caught him with a shirt when he landed on the anteater climb wood. Must have come in ...
