PET OWL CARE

I’ve been researching pet owl care recently as I’ve become interested in them. I’m working on a list of proper owl care articles and videos, but for now here’s a YouTube playlist with videos of them. Most are just cute videos, but it gives you a good idea of how to handle an owl and what they’re lik...

Re: Raccoons vs Coatimundi

Excuse me, your coati "brings your food" ? Like really? I can't imagine mine would do it. Yep, I’m not sure if he’s bringing me gifts or just leaving/caching his food with me because he thinks it’s “safe here”. He’ll bring apple slices or other bad goodies until my lap, drop them, and do ...

Re: Raccoons vs Coatimundi

I definitely agree with the social part. Vega grooms me, brings me food, follows me around the house, etc. Vega enjoys (lightly) nipping my dogs from behind then running away. He does this to certain people in my family too, and it’s alwaus on the back side of your shin. I don’t think it’s him being...

Re: Honey Badgers?

I only know of one breeder in the US who breeds badgers, and they’re American badgers not honey badgers (they look similar though!) Little info exists on their care as pets online, but I’d assume they’re destructive (like to dig) and nippy. I’ve heard really good things about them though from owners...

Re: lemming breeders/dealer?

I’ve never seen lemmings for sale.

Try an importer. Walter might know how to get some, he was very helpful when I asked about some other animals I was interested in importing: http://www.waltersworld.net

Re: Couch Chewing

Indoor fox owners I’ve talked to take their foxes on walks every morning and evening to help get rid of some of their energy. It seems to help a little bit with their destructiveness. I don’t know if your kit is harness trained though.

I'm not sure if I'm just being an idiot (I usually am to be fair!) but I've not been able to use tapatalk to browse the forum. When the update happens, will you be looking to have it accessible from the tapatalk app at all? I can never upload photos to the message board and I imagine this is a comm...

Re: Vega Thread (Pics, Updates, etc.)

Vega's been hiccuping a lot lately, usually after he drinks water. It's kind of weird but the vet said he was healthy. Maybe he just swallows his water wrong? icon_confused.gif Sometimes he'll tremble after waking up too, as if he's cold. But only after waking up. He'll do this if it's not chilly ou...

Re: Bad Primate Breeders?

Poggi takes good care of his animals, he just sells his monkeys to uneducated people and lies about them to get people to buy them; saying stuff like "marmosets are great with kids", calling them finger monkeys, saying you can keep them in ferret cages, etc.

Re: Ways to keep Arctic Foxes From Being Messy

The info i got was from several different care pages, and I've heard Dave's arctics (tinytracks exotics) have hardly any smell. TinyTracks is a bad breeder that misinforms people and doesn't know a lot about foxes. They're known for telling people foxes won't trust you if you own snakes, that seafo...

Re: Has anybody seen this deformity?

I remember seeing a pet fox with an underbite somewhere on the web. I'm not sure if it was natural or because of a medical issue though. I can't remember his name, maybe someone else here does?

Re: Ways to keep Arctic Foxes From Being Messy

If i get a fox, it's going to be after i buy a house. Based on pictures, i will have enough space to build an enclosure. I'm not 100% sure I've seen a fox in person. I probably have (I've been to many zoos), but was probably too young to remember. Also, how does building an enclosure connected to t...

Re: Ways to keep Arctic Foxes From Being Messy

Other than completely removing stuff from your house (and putting everything into chew proof containers and locking cabinets) there isn't much you can do. I've heard taking your fox out for a long walk every morning and night helps though since it gets some energy out... Expect a fox (and especially...
