Re: UVB bulb

This thread ended up posting twice.

I ended up keeping all the animals out of the bedroom area, except the squirrel, she gets to go anywhere she wants. I vacuumed and sprayed lysol on every thing. He seems to have stopped the peeing, for now.

Very disconcerting. Being a mom it makes my, 'what can I do to help' kick in. Lol

Re: UVB bulb

Yatzee is 8 months old. I'm not sure if he's starting to hibernate. We live in Florida and keep out bedroom area at 68 degrees all year. Yesterday I did an experiment though. He wakes up about 7am and then heads back to bed at about 10amish. He usually gets back up at around 5pmish. Well, these past...

Re: UVB bulb

Sorry about your bad day. Hope the issue gets resolved. I don't give yatzee any sweets because he is ginormous. I don't want to start a bad habit to where the only way I can get him to eat is to pour sweets over his food. When I cut fruits and veggies for the squirrels, I cut samples for him. About ...

Re: UVB bulb

He does eat fruits and veggies, they tend to give him diarrhea when he eats too much of them. He won't eat chicken or fish or any kind of raw or even cooked meat. Occassionally he'll steal abandoned pieces of cat food. Not many, less than 10 pieces. Whatever the prairie dog spilled. But, he doesn't ...

UVB bulb

Since Yatzee is an indoor coonie and every thing outside scares him, should I get a UVB light for him? I have lizards so, I have plenty of those bulbs. I have a separate issue also. He's been dribbling pee and laying on my clothes and peeing. Last night, he laid on the wheels of my office chair and ...

Picking different sleeping spots

There's a carpet hammock in his cage that he's been sleeping in for months. Now, just recently, he wants to sleep on his cage, in a drawer, on top of a different cage and even under the bed. I can't get him to get back in his hammock and because of this, he's not getting the full sleep he was gettin...

Re: My 7mth old Coon is coughing/gagging occasionally but getting more frequent, help?

You guys made great points. Yatzee is most definatly an indoor dude. I still have him on revolution though but, only when I see fleas. I have 5 cats that I give Confortus to when I see fleas. Usually Spring and Summer. I hate giving meds if they don't need them. Shoot, I don't like taking medicine m...

Re: Normal?

Yatzee did this. He would take a mouthful of my blanket and do this as he fell asleep. It was so cute!
He would do it with my thumb too.
He doesn't do it anymore. They grow up so fast.

Cutting nails

Every time I cut Yatzee's nails it is a stressful ordeal. He screams bites and pees all over himself.
Any suggestions on how to make it less stressful? I thought about giving him benadryl just to make him sleepy but. I don't want to give him pills.

Re: My 7mth old Coon is coughing/gagging occasionally but getting more frequent, help?

Yatzee isn't that lucky to have all that. He gets the roam of the house though. I have a big panda stuffed animal I play with him with. He likes to hang off it when I lift it up. I have cat toys on a stick he chases and I make him run around the house chasing it. I did cut back on his dog food and h...

Re: Arms vibrating hugging toy or my foot

He's been neutered for 3 weeks. Will he stop doing this? Also, should I stop him from doing this?
