I had mine done between 18 and 24 months of age. Much later and they get their fighting teeth in and those have to be wired down. Berserk syndrome is a real phenomenon. Just ask the llama rescue in NC where she has a herd of about 30 of them that have broken people's ribs and will attack you if you ...

I have "better than you thinking?" Well I won't quote his posting about "those people" and their roach-infested housing. I think I'm not the one being judgmental here. Point is, you have no idea if these dogs run loose all of the time or if they got loose, and your presumptions d...

If you are in Arkansas and it is hot, you have to make sure you shear him. They are very susceptible to heat stress.

If you got your hands on them, you should have taken them to the owner, advised them of your "right" to shot them if harassing livestock and notified your animal control officer to make a record. How would you feel if someone took one of your animals that had gotten loose and figured they'...

dumping an animal out in the boonies with no food or water is no more humane than shooting them.

Best way is a transrectal ultrasound by the vet (good luck finding one).

Second best way, is to see if she "spits him off," like she said.

I live in one of those "horrid places." We don't need any extra people down here anyways, unless you are the type not to complain about everything and want to change everything about us! Especially not too friendly with NY and NJ folks, although they all want to seem to flock down here and...

llamas inside or outside?>

I got my llamas delivered today...finally. I had them in the barn a few hours, haltering them and feeding them. I let them out on pasture after that and they won't go into the barn now.

Wondering how often your llamas stay inside? Maybe they'll venture in there tomorrow....

You have to go to the page and click on "male llamas II." the two I bought are at the bottom of that second page. They have their names and blurbs about them beside their pics. It also tells the origin of the names.

Attached is a pic of the young one. They can also be seen on http://www.elevensesllamas.com under "male llamas II." One...
