Re: What is needed to start a small at home animal rescue?

You don't really "rescue" fur farm animals, unless you're an animal rights group doing it illegally. Just FYI on that; you don't want the FBI to come and raid your sanctuary. And, you're probably not going to be rescuing a lot of large carnivorous animals, though irresponsible fox owners a...

Re: Bill to remove exotic species from the endangered species act

Got a reply from my Pennsylvania congress rep. I mentioned H.R. 2063 and also the fact that perhaps allowing more exotic pet trade in our state could bring more jobs/money into our economy, which they mentioned as well. Rep. Cartwright is known to support the environment already so I would hope the ...

People have got to realize that a fox is not a dog.

Re: Making Foxes Legal In California

I'm assuming you're younger. You don't have to stay in CA forever. Maybe someday you can move to another state and get a fox then. There will be foxes being bred then and legal in other states.

Re: Can a Fennec, Red & Klee Kai coexist indoors

After reviewing my mass collection of videos on two screens and comparing size differences of most in relation to the furniture and owner, I'm convinced the size difference between a red and fennec is subjective. A full size adult fennec next to some reds seem to be only a few cm apart in volume. Y...

Re: put away or allow to roam at night (for fox)

I'd think a single room would be more than enough for the fox to stay in when not supervised. Unless you had absolutely nothing in any of those rooms, besides metal furniture and toys that can't be chewed apart in all of those free-roam rooms. And no one else who would possibly leave items in them b...

Re: Bitterroot Bobcat and Lynx?

I echo what TurkRoach said... There have been threads even here on Sybil's about Big Cat Rescue. I wouldn't take their word for anything. https://sybilsden.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=13954&p=133475&hilit=big+cat+rescue#p132871 "November 17, 2014 - The Florida Fish & Wildlife Co...

Sources of said bad reviews? Specific website/page of the breeder you're talking about?

Re: Vasectomy Reversal?

They've been surprised when I tell them they better check with their surgeon who did the initial procedure, because generally getting "tubes tied" is a euphemism for an ovarian hysterectomy (OVH) where ovaries and uterus are removed; or could be just a uterine removal, leaving the ovaries...

Re: "Extinct" Javan Tiger Spotted in Wild

Now that I'm looking at this on my home computer rather than a laptop, I'm seeing spots on the body. Like no mistake, it looks like spots. The legs seem to be striped. And the tail seems poofy and light-colored on the end whereas the photos of the Javan tiger the tail is striped and short-haired. It...

When the kitty cat moved in at my parents' house, the whole gang of animals (two dogs and a cat) was still referred to as "the dogs"

Piebald (white markings) and gray/white would be neat.

Dry pasta boxes (rotini, etc.), plastic removed if present, maybe with a little dry pasta inside for them to snack on :)
