I totally forgot you were in the UK, Katalyst, otherwise I would have mentioned you!

Are there any educational centers in your area? USDA-licensed facilities? They may be open to taking her. I don't know where you're from though, so can't help you look, but that would be a good option. You might still be able to visit her too.

Re: Best supplies for a new fox owner

Those behaviors you mentioned are natural, and a fox will still do them regardless of where it lives. So even if the house is made to accommodate a fox, there will still be extensive damage. Though not as much, obviously. Like if you have a metal futon as opposed to a sofa, the fox isn't going to be...

Re: Best supplies for a new fox owner

You could still build an enclosure on a huge slope. My yard slopes, so we had to put in a cinderblock foundation for the pen to sit on top of. It's perfectly level on the top, so it ranges from 7-10'. Maybe not as drastic as your slope though. Foxes do like hidey-holes. So the more tunnels they have...

Re: Making Foxes Legal In California

Your best option would be to contact your senator and try and get him on board. That way the law could actually go on the floor and be reviewed. A petition for signatures is always a good idea too since it shows more people are wanting these things. If you are able to get the chance to speak to a se...

Re: Uk based Silver or Corsac fox??

Hm... Have you tried contacting the sellers and asking them where they got their foxes from? We used to have people in the UK who knew breeders, but it seems it has gotten fewer and fewer.

Re: Best supplies for a new fox owner

I would not recommend the short leash in the car at all. I had a fox come to me like that, and she was absolutely terrified and even would try to attack and try to bite. I definitely do not recommend it based on that experience alone. I think being in the open, restrained, made her way more nervous ...

Re: Are Wolfdogs Technically not Hybrids?

This is a difficult question, because it totally depends who you are talking to. Sometimes the dog is referred to as "Canis Familiaris" which means it's a different species entirely. I personally do not agree with that, but that's me. Unfortunately, lawmakers can and do have laws against h...

He's growing up so fast!

Re: Arctic Foxes in Warm Environment?

As long as there is plenty of shade, and water, an arctic should be fine in Florida, especially if you implement misting systems and fans. The misting fans are a great way to cool anything down since it really seems to lower the temperature where it's placed. Thank you for thinking of the fox's need...

Re: Raccoons and Seafood?

The fox-snake thing is debunked. Many fox owners keep snakes and other reptiles without a problem, including myself. Dave may have had a bad fox-snake experience, otherwise I'm not sure why he would think that. The raccoon thing I can't speak on since I don't know raccoons, lol.

Re: Can a Fennec, Red & Klee Kai coexist indoors

Also, I'm not trying to discourage you from owning these animals. I think you would absolutely love and adore them, and take great care of them. It is just not feasible in your situation to own them all right now. Holding off will definitely be best for the foxes, and waiting to have a perfect setup...

That's so adorable! I remember the times Fable would do that, and they were precious moments. Vega and you really have a strong bond. I think he definitely looks to you like a mother.
