Re: Omg cant believe myself

If your fox grows up with your cat and dog, my guess is that it should be fine with them. The real question is: how will your cat and dog respond? If you test it out and they seem good to each other when the fox is a baby, then you'll just have to make sure the fox will treat the cat kindly once it ...

Re: Can medicine cause change in behavior?

Okay! That makes me feel so much better! Thank you for responding. If it's the normal thing for a puppy to do, then that's great. Since this is our first dog, we have a lot to learn, I suppose. But I'm sure the sudden change is because he was incredibly weak and miserable. Since we got him at six we...

Re: Raccoon - Stanley

That's great news! I've been following this story for a while hoping that he would come around. It seems like you're making some positive progress! I hope his attitude continues to improve. If he gets to like you, are you going to keep him? Or do you think you'll still give him to your dad?

Re: starving bearded dragon

You're such a kind person to be looking after the little guy! That's awful that someone would let him get in that condition. Even if the store owner had gotten him two days prior, don't you think she should have called the vet IMMEDIATELY if his condition was that bad? I hope the little fella does w...

Re: Pics of our canada and african geese.

This is probably a dumb question, but are their wings clipped? Or does their pen have wire over the top?
I would love to have some geese and exotic fowl someday. I luv the pictures!

Can medicine cause change in behavior?

As many know, my family's 12-week old shih-tzu Zip is doing much better now that he is on medication. I don't remember what he's on, I just know he is on two types. (I'll ask to find out. I keep forgetting to call my mom and see). Well, before everything started going on with him (seizures, tremors,...

Re: Pics of my gray fox, Shawnee. :)

She is absolutely lovely. I've seen videos of her on youtube, I think. I don't know much about greys, so I'll be interested in hearing about her. I saw that you breed red foxes. Do you breed greys at all, or is Shawnee a "single lady?" Is she litter-box trained indoors or is she a permanen...

Re: Puppy keeps having "concussions"!?

We contacted the breeder, and she can now no longer breed the parents. She felt so bad for us and offered us a new puppy. She said her dogs never had any puppies with liver shunts before, and this was the first. The father had sired MANY, MANY litters, but this was the mother's first litter, so she ...

Re: Puppy keeps having "concussions"!?

Thanks. I'll relay that to my mom. The problrm is is that he is so fixed in what he eats. He doesn't chew on anything like a puppy would. He doesn't take anything into his mouth that isn't food. It was a pain trying to feed him his deworming stuff. He ONLY eats the food he is used to, which isn't ev...

Congratulations! That is so wonderful! I'm so glad the baby seems to be strong and healthy. I can't wait to hear whether it's a boy or gal. How soon until you'll be able to tell?

Re: Puppy keeps having "concussions"!?

Thanks for the information Lasergrl. Okay, so the vet didn't see Zip today, but she says she will see him tomorrow. They want to do a test, and I suppose he can't eat for eight hours before the test can actually work, so she'll see him tomorrow after he's gone without eating... So these are the two ...

Re: Species recommendations?

You're correct about the reds. Granted, I haven't worked around other foxes other than reds, but their urine does smell pretty bad (I can't really compare it to other foxes...). I haven't ever seen them indoors since I intern at a sanctuary where they live outdoors in enclosures all the time. I DO k...
