Re: I think I cured the peeing everywhere problem

Yahtzee, you could always put hubby's shoes in a litter box  seriously, I really don't know why Yatzee was not using the litter box. for removing odor, I found vinegar cuts odor. also, Creolin does too. (foxes has a lot stronger odor than raccoons), the vinegar and creolin cuts all the odor) cr...

Re: Dry shampoo

what if you put Yatezz in a shallow water? How about a shower with low water pressure? can you give Yatezz a sponge bath? I have a shower stale that has a removable shower head. (which means I can take if off the top and put it where I want too. (in the shower stall of course  ) one of my racco...

Re: Dry shampoo

I would think dry shampoo is safe.how does that rinse off? I never used dry shampoo.

if Yatzee likes water, why can't use shampoo on her in the water. then put her in a rinse pan?
most raccoons love water.

Re: my beagle?

Dogs with pulled muscles or nerve problems walk differently than with arthritis. Arthritis is stiff in the joint areas but not usually too tight. Most of our older dogs have gotten arthritis, some quite badly, and it usually includes limping and avoiding bending the legs, trouble getting on furnitu...

Re: my beagle?

Glad it's not lyme. Hopefully the arthritis is manageable. I got rymadale for her. don't seem to help a lot. she lays on her doggie cot too much. she even goes as far as covering herself up  I have to force her to outside. usually, once she is out, she seems OK  I try to keep her joint...

Re: Oregon Venomous Snake Permit

I have no idea. here is a link to your state. also, would not be a bad idea to contact the dnr or whoever regulates them. I know most states have different regulations. some states have to be cleared with your local area also. not to be nosey, but, just wondering why you want a snake? I know many pe...

Re: my beagle?

When I was working in Greyhound adoption, many newly arrived dogs had fleas. Greyhounds are sensitive to many chemicals that are "safe" on other breeds, so my vet recommended using Advantage at half the recommended dose on only about half of the dogs. Since fleas are so mobile, every dog ...

Re: my beagle?

Flea meds can be scary, I've heard the stories. We use to use one you applied to the skin (frontline), but the fleas in the area became immune and our dogs were so miserable. Our house was crawling with them, we all had bites on our bodies, I couldn't go into my bed room anymore, we had to shave th...

Re: Capstar

I used this a couple of yrs ago when I had the same problem, cat bringing fleas in and getting over run. If I recall correctly, I used it a couple of days in a row and after that once every so many days. It worked and so far I haven't seen any effects from it. I just used it for a couple of months ...

Re: my beagle?

Glad you got a vet appointment. Hope it all turns out okay! Lucy does seem pretty young to have arthritis, but our four older doggies are all feeling the winter weather and walking a little stiffer. Cinnamon has been limping on and off and can't go on daily walks or he gets too sore. Our dogs have ...

Re: my beagle?

When Emo had lyme, she suddenly didn't want to get up one day. And when she walked, she had a limp. I had mom take her to the vet, and she tested positive for lyme. the lyme did cross mind. however, there are days when she will go outside, and stay out there for awhile. she don't limp though. howev...
