Re: Found Coati in England

That will need to be put down as it is illegal for people to acquire new coatis since the invasive species laws came in.

Re: Colour Morphs..... what's in the UK?!

You can get red, silver, platinum and combinations of them in the UK. I'm not sure about marble or white face or fire or the other color forms.

Re: Fantastic Fossas!

I've seen fossa in a fair few zoos, including privatley owned ones INCLUDING one that does deal with private owners. I'm confident, that at least in europe, it's possible to get them, even if it would be difficult or expensive.

Re: Wild-caught animals

I think it really depends on the species. many animals such as invertabrates don't have any issues with adjusting to captivity, whereas mammals might become very stressed over it. The scenario has an impact as well, ranching native species so you own them and they're techni...

Re: Fox breeders UK

There are some UK specific facebook groups for exotic mammals which would be worth joining. There are fox kits currently being advertised on a number of them.

Re: Where to purchase zoo surplus?

This is an old post, but generally you need to be a member of a zoo organisation (such as AZA) to acquire animals from members of that organisation. E.g. zoos in Britain and Ireland can join BIAZA and members can access the surplus lists from those zoos. Other times zoos owned by private individuals...
