Re: A fox quiz for a potential fox owner.

Aye, that is one concern. I encountered that particular problem with a local official. The individual argued foxes might be tamed but never domesticated. The conversation proved to be a phenomenal waste of time. However there are others. I once encountered a cop at work that thought I might be invol...

Re: Breeders?

You'll have to go to your city/county "Building and Planning" office to find out zoning information.

Re: A fox quiz for a potential fox owner.

Hmm, how to phrase it as a question? Will owning a fox have social concerns when dealing with other humans? Such as?

A poll about America without "Option #3"?

Re: Dog and fox

How old is the dog? Is the terrier mellowing out in general or just uninterested in the fox?

Re: potty in food/water

I was actually just about to post the same problem: urinating in the water. I solved my first problem, Shadow (M-red) had a habit of knocking over his water bowl and dragging it around. I fixed this with a wide trapezoidal unspillable bowl. Unfortunately this had lead to problem #2, Foxy (F-red) now...

Re: How much taurine is enough?

While I try to acquire a source of chicken guts I picked up a bottle of taurine powder for the mean time. At a ratio of 1:1,000 that is what, a pinch per food bowl? Or perhaps a more precise measurement would be best?

I couln't help him :(

My cat, or I should say my dog's cat, died in my arms this morning. Aged 2 years and 3 months. He was always very quiet, never made a sound. Would ambush you with his claws when you weren't looking. He came to us as a kitten, a barn cat someone bottle fed but still very wild. He met the dog as a kit...

Re: Taurine?

Sorry to reply to a 10 month idle thread but...

Were can I get this fox food of Dave's and can it be frieghted?

I looked into Mazzuli (Sp?) earlier this year but it simply is not distributed in my region.

Re: How much taurine is enough?

Hmm, I had been giving my foxes an egg every other day as a treat and as a supplement of taurine. But I was just reading through a cat site and it state that eggs don't have enough taurine to meet the need of cats.

Methinks it it time to go to the health supplement store for taurine.

For two foxes I am at about $600 for veterinary (first year shots and wellness exams) + 50¢ to $2 a day for food.

Re: Eight years in the making

I am a little nervous. Next week I take the little ones in for their first rabies vaccine. So far evey trip to the vet has gone smooth, but this is the trip I've been most worried about.
