Rugose Stag Beetle

http://www.birdspiders.com/gallery/var/resizes/Other-Invertebrates/c2bfgq6l5z.jpg?m=1297138769 Just had one of these things flying around my room. The photo I tried to take didn't work out so taken from the web. I caught him with a shirt when he landed on the anteater climb wood. Must have come in ...

Re: Raising Feeders in living soil environment

Unfortunately those worms also came with those fuzzy wormy pests, they look spikey but are surprisingly soft(Dermestid beetle larvae). Now the tank is crawling with them. On the plus side Ikigai thinks they are yummy, so free food, which is kinda cool since the super beetles have failed at having ki...

Re: Poseidon - The Dubia Roach

Thank you. The paint probably helps.

The males were all going crazy in the tank last night and I saw him. He did wear or scrape off most of one of his spots but the other is still obvious. If I do manage to get a hold of him sometime he'll need a touch up.

Re: Exotic Cubs

Sorry for multi posting. I think they're a scam but not sure how, maybe like I said will try to talk into money before the supposed visit. I remember talking about a site like it before but I think maybe it got removed when some stuff was redone. The similar wording gets me. Their videos seem are ne...

Re: Exotic Cubs

Not sure about this though "Exotic Cat Humane Society, LLC" I find nothing on that, maybe they are just trying to sound legit as I said and will try to switch things up later to get money from people.

Re: Exotic Cubs

irst, we don't require ANY deposits from a potential buyer. You are welcome to visit us in Buffalo, NY to personally hold the cat and chose the one you want from what we currently have available. It doesn't get any more real than that. However, beware of scammers that claim to sell exotic cats. 95%...

Re: Blue Buffalo/Wilderness food issues

Beaker was on Taste of the wild lamb before I decided to get a fennec then I switched him to instinct so if the fennec stole it'd be okay for him. Which he did sometimes at first so I picked it up at night so he'd not fill up on it but then he quit wanting it and was picking it out of his meals. I d...

Blue Buffalo/Wilderness food issues

A lot of people still feed this food to fennecs(and other foxes), so be warned. Ikigai came eating the puppy kibble but I quickly switched him to Instinct Ultimate Chicken, canine, though eventually took him off kibble all together. I've been feeding the puppy (Since only a big bag was available) to...

Re: Brown Bears

Yeah that's actually why they still have to cut the head off, the tests aren't perfect. They have to look at tissue of the brain and look for the virus in it. Depending on the samples it could be missed. The first test may have been one of the other sort which are even less accurate but not sure, wo...

Re: Brown Bears

Case was older than I thought but managed to find info on it. Doesn't say it in this blurb but original story mentioned it was at a party the night before it died(I think that's when it nipped people in the blurb below). August 27, 1999/Clermont, Iowa: A 5-6 month-old black bear cub died after sever...

Re: Poseidon - The Dubia Roach

Sorry. For the late reply. The small group was in a container of dehydrated lamb dog food at first then moved them to a bigger container and added wheat bran. The large colony is in a dirt tank. So far no issues. Saw Poseidon the other night he is still sporting his paint and seems to be well. Some ...

Re: Brown Bears

There was a bear at a zoo some years back that died from rabies, it had been at a party for the zoo some nights before so they had to give everyone rabies shots.
