Re: Mohawk dog

Yes there are other ridge back breeds besides the Rhodesian, like the Tia ridge back. These are ridge back but with longer fur so it stands up.

Re: Revolution

The revolution canine and feline are the same ingredients just different doses. It's safe to give. I even used it on my anteaters before and has been used in all sorts of exotics.

Re: Trying to Pee

I'm sorry to hear that. We had a member some years back who lost their fox to a genetic kidney issue as well. It would be good if breeders started doing some health testing or at least cull the parents from breeding when they hear about these things.

Re: Wolf dog regulations in california

By state law the hybrid has to be low content. No first generation hybrids meaning both parents have to be hybrids and or dogs, you can't have a hybrid who had one of it's parent be wolves. In cat terms no f1 hybrids only f2 or lower. But Los Angels considers hybrids to be wild animals and need a li...

Re: Invisible electric dog fences?

Would not suggest using one with a dog and this is the fox forum so would out right say it's irresponsible to use one with a fox.

Re: Trying to Pee

Sounds like a kidney infection. When Hyzzie had one 24hrs at the vet on IV antibiotics and fluids had her feeling better again then finished the antibiotic course at home, but she wasn't peeing blood, but feeling pretty pukey, she also got cerenia because of that.

Re: Trying to Pee

Jake is a total brat about it too but I found it actually works better if I do it myself. Get him wrapped up in a large towel and straddle him and hold him between my legs as I kneel sit on the floor with just his head sticking out. Then hold the mouth shut and squirt in from the side. https://www.y...

Re: Trying to Pee

It could mean it's progressed to being a kidney infection. (edit: if it were a dog I might be inclined to do a day at the vet with IV antibiotics and fluids but that probably wouldn't work with a fox). The syringe works great in cats and dogs. I hold the mouth shut and then put the tip in the pocket...

Re: Trying to Pee

Since it's okay to break them up you could dissolve them in liquid and syringe it into his mouth.

Re: I NEED ADVISE PLZ #FOX

Weird your attachments seem to just be white spots like pixels. He is just being a red fox kit(though the following is true of arctics too). In the wild the kits kill each other in the den and only some of them live to reach the surface, being food aggressive is part of surviving that. He may always...

Re: Trying to Pee

I understand. I guess if it was stones they likely would have seen crystal in the urine as well so hopefully that's the case and the antibiotics clear it up.
