Re: Frozen soft furred mice as feeders

I'd be surprised if dead ones were a problem but yeah bans would make raising them a problem for sure. Would be super convenient if a shop sold African rodents frozen for food here as well but this one in the UK is the only one I found. Still super expensive by weight but would be nice occasional sn...

Re: Hello + Fox Help

I understand. It would be hard to part with a baby, especially after having it a bit but it's for the best. She can be raised to go back to the wild and if he decides he's up to the challenge of a fox he could get a domestic cub next spring.

Re: Hello + Fox Help

Actually no it's not. You can keep a fox there if you buy it from domestic lines and you can keep one that is wild only if it is in unreasonable condition, like missing a leg or some reason it can't be rehabed to live wild. "It is considered breech of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 to capture heal...

Re: Kit found outside, need help

It's a red fox. Ohio requires a permit for them but they have to be captive born for the permit. You can call and ask 1-800-WILDLIFE (1-800-945-3543) If you want but it says so here: http://wildlife.ohiodnr.gov/licenses-and-permits/specialty-licenses-permits /edit List of rehabers so she can be rais...

Yeah it says that but then also says. "the owners are licensed as a sloth rescue group in Oregon but couldn't produce any paperwork showing the animals could be legally owned in Washington state." There are no state laws against owning them. The only thing needed would be import permits bu...

They say they took them because she didn't show where a law says it's legal. They took them because the local law didn't know if it was legal. There's no state law against owning sloths. There's no law against it but because they couldn't show a law saying it's legal they took them. If you think tha...

Re: Pale Fox info and diet

Yes, they seem to have great personalities. That more chill willing to hang out with you and not jump at every little thing type of fox is what most people actually want from a fox, even if they aren't the most foxy looking foxes. It would be nice if there were more studies on their wild diet to find...
