You also need a state exhibition permit to take them anywhere but the vet. If you get a state exhibition permit that means your exhibiting so will also have to get USDA. Florida is weird that way.

Re: Loki the fox's owner Noel Castillo will be getting a new fox. And it is an arctic fox.

He's Picking him up Wednesday. The arctic liter died so he is getting the glacier from a late red litter as a last minute change. Did he mention the who the breeder was for the arctic litter? I assume not, but can't hurt to ask. Though, I thought arctics were born during June and July months. No he...

Re: is merck vet manual a good source?

There's no specific vet manual for foxes. But you can find papers on them with studies for their diets and health issues to help your vet. There is also some thing your vet can join, I don't remember the name, where exotic vets share info on their experiences with species. My vet has talked about it...

He's Picking him up Wednesday. The arctic liter died so he is getting the glacier from a late red litter as a last minute change. I suspect he's getting him from Dave but he's not saying who the breeder is but it's a 20hr drive so would be about right for it to be Dave.

Re: Loki the fox's owner Noel Castillo will be getting a new fox. And it is an arctic fox.

He's getting a red fox after all, a glacier. I think he'll be happier with that even though wasn't his first choice since he has had a red before he will be better prepared for that.

Re: USDA new Minimum exemptions

We also note that States requiring a USDA license or that reduce requirements for persons with a USDA license primarily focus on potentially dangerous animals, not the types of small exotic and wild mammals that fall under this exemption, which are pocket pets such as chinchillas and jerboas being ...

Re: Revolution

It's the same stuff in both dog or cat revolution so just choose the right weight range. The kitten is actually kitten/puppy. I use it on my fennec and started right after getting him as a kit because he's allergic to fleas. He started on kitten and will be kitten his whole life due to his weight.

Red Fox and Retinol

My fennec values were based on red fox info so here's some actual red fox info so people can better select foods for red foxes. The recommendation for foxes based on red fox studies is 100 IU per KG of body weight per day. 200 IU started showing signs of over dose in red fox but 50-100 was the level...

Re: Wild Baby Found

If you have been using a warm cloth and it's not been enough then sometimes holding them under a warm faucet trickling will help. If you haven't been then a little extra might be needed to loosen things up. Adding a little bit of kyro syrup can help with loosening them up. Adding more water can also...
