Raccoon dogs as pets page from a breeder http://www.wasbeerhonden.nl/Wasbeerhonden/Pets.html The only permits I am aware of are for scientific research. I'm sure they are picky about the set up because they want to ensure you wont let it escape. What research AZA zoos that have them are doing I don'...

Probably the play growl/hiss mostly. It reminds me a bit of the anteater "growl" but that only happened the first bath I gave Pua and when Pua and Stewie were first getting to know each other. I first heard the "growling" sound on the other side of the fence and guessed it was co...

The thing is it was written to prevent acquisition so people that had them when the ban was passed were allowed to keep them but you were not supposed to acquire them after the law was passed. But it's not like anyone even knows about the law except some know mongooses are banned. On a rare occasion...

Raccooon sounds

Can anyone describe raccoon sounds and what they mean or have videos. We have a family of raccoon living behind the house and they make scary sounds. The neighbor who's "wild" yard they are actually living in said they hang out with his dog and get along, lol, so guess they are okay. But t...

The problem is the gray fox is not domesticated. I don't think you have a very good chance of having a good pet gray fox because of that quarantine even with visits. Where as the domestic fox was bred to be tame in just that sort of situation(just fed and watered and still tame).

You need to contact the state AG dept and your Fish and wild life office for the state. You also need to check your city and county codes too. There's no site online listing every law every where especially not on a species specific basis. You just have to do the foot work. Now they do need lots of ...

Oh and try asking him for a study paper that proves what he said. Being a vet he should be able to come up with a citation to prove he's not just making it up. Though a kibble fed dog can sometimes have trouble when suddenly finding a bunch of meat and get sick from the rich food because they aren't...

If that were true the food would not get digested and come out looking the same as it went in. This is true of my one dog when she eats carrots but not meat. There was a study done, though was with cats. One group fed all cooked and one food fed all raw. The cooked fed cats were dying off and gettin...

Yes. dog were not designed by nature to eat grain filled kibbles. They were designed to eat raw foods made by nature. My dog's favorite is raw pork riblets. I do cook some of their food too. My anteater get her own version, raw ground beef, ground beef heart and other items added for proper nutritio...
