Re: Chlorinated Pools

While I appreciate your enthusiasm for owning a raccoon, are you sure this is really a good fit for you? Even if you can get all your legal ducks in a row, there are MANY other variables to consider. Are you buying a house when you move to CO? If not, you might want to go ahead and stop right there....

Re: my racccons

Yeah, I figured I'd have to show her, and put a few almonds in it to start with... just until she learned the concept. I'm pretty sure she'd learn to tap dance for almonds.

Re: my racccons

I've been looking for a yuppy puppy like yours but it looks like they've been discontinued. icon-sad Everywhere I've seen them online it says currently unavailable . I found another that looks kind of like a slot machine: https://www.chewy.com/outward-hound-lucky-dog-slots-dog/dp/113617?utm_source=g...

Re: my racccons

Its so good to see pictures of your crew!
Carrie IS a pretty lady.
Its awesome to see George with a coonie squad. I'm sure there were times (when they were younger) that they irritated the crap out of him, but he looks really pleased to be apart of a gaze again.

Re: Emotional support animal

While I understand that some people may get more benefit out of their animal than others, nobody NEEDS an ESA... Here is an excerpt from Projectchance.com, a site dedicated to providing ESAs and Service dogs to children with autism: "How Dogs Help Children With Autism Autism assistance dogs ar...

Re: Emotional support animal

I have to be honest on this one... I agree with TG's original assessment. I don't think it's a good idea or will work. If it does work then it will cause a change to the law like people doing this sort of thing did to service animals did and the species will become restricted to just dogs and cats o...

Re: Emotional support animal

Ok, a little off-topic here, but since you mentioned that episode of The Vet Life, I'm going on a rant... I saw on a vet show that there is a guy in Texas with two kangaroos, two lemurs, two coatis, and a bunch of other animals that help him with PTSD. I saw this episode too, and was borderline outr...

Re: Nail Clipping

I'm pretty sure I got really lucky with Giz... She's really good about nail trims and I do it regularly. I started when she was really young, and although she definitely doesn't like it, she tollerates it like a champ. I can do her front feet by myself but I need to hold her for my hub to do the bac...

Wow, I had no idea that you actually could spay reptiles. (Never owned any, so I guess that's why)
Glad she's going to be ok. The surgery pics are really neat, glad you've shared them.

Re: Neighbor has Multiple raccoons HELP

I feel a little ashamed for not asking about the general health of the animals... If animal control didn't take action, perhaps it is because the neighbors actually have a rehabber's license. They may have these guys legitimately. I know it sucks to have messy neighbors, but being a hoarder doesn't ...

Re: Neighbor has Multiple raccoons HELP

I can't believe animal control didn't seize them. In my state, they would have been seized and euthanized immediately... no questions asked. Most states do not allow wild born raccoons to be kept by the public under any circumstances. Maybe you could look for a local wildlife rehab organization. If ...
