Before you get your horse or donkey, you might want to find out if they can graze on irish moss. You really don't want to founder your animal or buy one that has been foundered. In my experience a male horse is generally more playful than a mare.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience, but better before than after. Probably the best way to go is to call your local vet or dog breeder and ask them what they suggest vaccinating their animals against. A coon will probably need protection from the same as dogs and cats. Be really careful to ...

In the U.S. , rabies is still a problem, so we vaccinate against, killed only,
but I think you have solved this problem. Distemper, here also, England I don't know. What do you vaccinate your dogs & cats against?

yes

It will be a lot easier if the coon is already tame, but with time patience, it can be done either way. Of course, depending on the coon. If the coon will feed from a bottle it would be a good bonding issue but at that age if its not still on the bottle it could be hard to get it to accept a bottle....

They are really cute. There was a story last week about a lady suing a walmart because they had one loose in their store and the lady hurt herself when she saw it. So they must be available somewhere. Let us know if you find one.

I've heard about the "buck wheat". Maybe I would recognize it if i heard it. I went to the swap meet hoping to get ladies for my boys, but missed out on what must have been the only guineas there. So I'm still looking for 2 hens. I love them and so far the neighbors haven't complained. Bei...

At 2 weeks of age he should be on the bottle. Every 4 hours or so. He'll let you know about the interval. If you check earlier posts about coons, we discussed the different formulas. From there I started them on baby mixed cereal and bananas cut up, because they usually really like bananas. I give t...

They are and its funny because when I had them in the run they only talked at night before they went to bed. Sort of a reverse rooster, but now they talk all the time. And don't before they go to bed. If they get in with the dogs they're toast.

guineas

I just let my guineas out of their coop. I got them last spring at Mt Hope. They were supposed to be a pair, but no eggs so I think i've got 2 boys. I've been keeping them penned up for their safety, but am hoping as long as they go in at night they'll be safe. They have personality and are very mou...
