Re: DNA Study Reveals the One and Only Wolf Species in North America

Well it happened. I was afraid this "study" would cause something like this. USFWS is moving towards discontinuing all recovery efforts for red wolves. https://www.biologicaldiversity.org/news/press_releases/2016/red-wolf-03-24-2016.html Bowing to political pressure, t he Fish and Wildlife...

Re: Need help rehoming my coon

It would be helpful if you posted what state you were in so other users would know if they were in the same state or a state that's close to see if they'd be able to take in the raccoon. Edit: Just looked up Akron Zoo and apparently it's a zoo in Ohio. So I'm assuming your coon that needs rehoming i...

Re: Wild-caught animals

I'm not against taking animals from the wild if two conditions are meant: A. The most important point is that they must not be an endangered or threatened species. B. There are none or very few of the species available in captivity. Taking endangered and threatened species from the wild would make t...

Re: Canuk the crow assulted

Releasing tame animals is bad and dangerous for the animals. Not a bird, but there was a very tame wolf named Romeo in Alaska that went up to people and dogs and interacted with them and some idiot hunter killed him because he was an easy target. :/ Not sure if people would hunt a crow too or not th...

Re: Which species do you least want

Just thought of more. Though I might not turn one down if offered for free, I 'm surprisingly not interested in bat-eared foxes nor fennec foxes. The large ears just aren't very appealing to me. I would probably never actually purchase either of those species of fox.

Just curious. Are there any mink breeders? I couldn't seem to find any when I looked awhile back out of curiosity.

Re: Dwarf red fox

Omg. It's so adorable. I hope they send it to a sanctuary though and don't release it back into the wild. It'll probably die in the wild. I didn't know foxes could be tiny like that. It almost looks like the fox version of a dachshund.

Re: Guide to Wild Dogs by Continent

@Pat: Lol. I bet I wouldn't be. XD I personally think the raccoon dog and the bush dog are the most unique. They're both odd little canines. @Ash: Thanks. It was alot of work, but I had fun making the list. ^^ @H20 Sl The Culpeo is one of my favorite canines. Some fun facts are that they are actuall...

Top 10 Foxes Video

Hey guys. Please check out my video I made about the top 10 types of foxes. I worked really hard on it looking for facts and free use images. Sorry about the narration. Ugh, I hate the way my voice sounds in recordings. I sound like a little kid. :/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1x7rm5TURgs Let me...

Guide to Wild Dogs by Continent

So, I was bored and made a list of what types of wild dogs can be found on the different continents, so enjoy. Also, all images are from either Wikipedia, Wikimedia or Arkive.org unless otherwise specified. Also, where a species occurs in more than one continent, I try to show a photo of a subspecie...

Re: Triops

What kind of water did you have them in? I was reading something that said it was best to buy bottled spring water (or I guess spring water in a jug could work too) because tap water(even tap water that's gone through a purification system) can kill them because it has all kinds of chemicals in it.
