Hello From California

Postby Horsechic51 » Tue Dec 18, 2012 6:14 pm

Hello Everyone,

Well I am so excited that I found this site. I am interested in quite a few of the more "normal" pet and animals. But I primarily joined this site becasue I am interested in a lot of exotics as well.
Like Wolfdogs, bobcats, racoons, Owls/falcons, fox, and reindeer.
I hope to learn more and maybe learn from people who already own these animals.

Thank you
Catherine

Welcome!
Glad to see another wolfdog person around here!
I adopted a rescued a 6 week old wolfdog puppy a couple of months ago, and he is quite the handful, but SO worth it. He's like my child, and I adore him. He's 16 weeks old now, and already as big as my collie dog.

We love pictures, so if you have pets already (cats or dogs) then feel free to show us!

Looking at the laws though I can only have maybe a wolf hybrid :(
I looked at the laws posted here but they are from 2006.
I was also looking at moving to New Mexico or Colorado to have a homestead.
Colorado seems just as regulated as California- but New Mexico does now.
Anyone have info on this?

Hi!
Yeah California and Colorado are really bad places regarding exotics. Have you thought of moving anywhere else in the US? Florida seems about a lenient as anywhere and would have a climate somewhat like what you are accustomed to.
