baby mink

Postby mandymink » Thu May 14, 2015 11:42 pm

me and my kids found a baby mink alone crying beside the creek, we left it alone and came back couple hours later and he was still there but not as feisty. so we took him home and got kitten formula. this was Monday now Thursday he seems to be doing well but soooo tiny how can I tell how old he is? to know when to give meat, we live on a farm too and hoping he can just play outside with kids and do they play with dogs I have 2 Australian shepherds.

Minkenry has raised minks for years--both farm-raised and wild-caught. He lives out here in Utah, and is a really nice guy. He's also a member here too, but hasn't been on for quite some time. But yeah, he's probably the best guy to ask.

I hope you can get the answers you're looking for. You may also wish to find a wildlife rehabber in your area since in most states it is not legal to keep a wild animal.
