I'm New

Postby GitaBooks » Thu Aug 27, 2015 4:57 pm

I've always been interested in animals as long as I live, and while I don't own any exotic pets at this time, I plan to get some in the future. I'd love to learn from the experts.

Your website and forum have been very helpful! : )

Hello, and welcome! :) This is a great place to come to if you're interested in exotics. What kind of species are you particularly interested in? I love foxes, snakes, lizards, and hyenas the most. I've got a whole list of dream animals I'd like. :)

Thanks!

I'm interested in all kinds of animal breeds and species. I'm studying to become a zoologist and plan to study animal behavior and their care as pets. Choosing a favorite would be hard, but I have to say I've always had a thing for Tamanduas.

I look forward to learning all sorts of fun things on here. : )

Have you seen Tamanduagirl's posts about Pua and Aurora? She has kept a lot of tamanduas and is an expert!

Welcome!
I got a second degree in Animal Studies because I wanted to work with exotics. Of course there were no jobs in my area, so I'm a therapist now (using my original degree). But I LOVED my school and my teachers and I interned at a wildlife sanctuary while I was going to school.
If you set your mind to it, you will definitely be able to do what you want. If I can do it, anyone can!

Thanks. : )

I certainly have big plans for what I hope to accomplish. A lot of my work includes helping making healthy, inexpensive, captive-bred exotic pets more readily available. That would be a awesome.
