What would the colour phase for the pup carrying the pinecone be called exactly? I mean I know it's a white phase & it isn't done phasing yet, but it won't fully loose the tan/orange glow in it's coat will it? Or would the term "white" be used to cover a broad range of variations that are mostly white? Either way I think they're beautiful.

The one carrying the pinecone will turn all white as an adult.

All pure wolves/high content pups are dark (brown, light/dark brown, black) as pups.
Past Pets: Sea-monkeys, 7 Cottontail rabbits, a Wakin goldfish, 2 cats & a betta fish.
Wishlist: Malinois, Alaskan wolf, hyena, liger (& other big cats), Arabian horse, dolphin, & much more!

I knew they were born darker but I didn't know they sometimes went through a gorgeous orangey phase too! I'm sure I've also read that an Arctic wolf won't ever be pure white like a domestic dog would be (correct me if I'm wrong), so it would be nice if some retained that hue.

Some will turn mostly white, but then you can usually see the markings around the cape and you can still see the preclaudial gland also.

Here's a couple arctics of Skylars
