Spotted Hyenas

Postby vulpini » Wed Mar 11, 2015 8:43 pm

Posting here because I think some of you guys might be interested in the ad I found below, since I haven't seen much about hyenas for sale:

Posting in the exotic cats section because I was very surprised to learn that hyenas are actually part of the Feliformia suborder? They look so much like canines that I guess I had thought they were part of the canine family

Hi, so I just moved your topic here to the large critters section since feliforms encompasses tons of things aside from felines. ;) They're in the family hyaenidae as opposed to felidae.

That's where I want to get my hyenas, whenever, if ever, I have the opportunity to own them. Kapyiva Exotics has some really nice animals, and they're a renowned breeder. They post pics of their hyenas from time to time on their facebook page, as well as some of their other rare animals. Thank-you for posting the link! I always enjoy seeing hyena ads, and it motivates me.

The aardwolves and striped are what I'm most interested in, but would like a spotted someday too.
