Ikigai arrived last night. YAY!

My Ikigai is here. He had a very long flight and then ride home and then spent the night exploring his new enclosure so is sleeping the day away. He has decided the likes the pod bed.

I've never cried from happiness before. Always thought that was weird. Still think it's weird. I mean seriously, WTF body, you got your signals crossed.

He found his sand box first. I'm going to put some more sand in there. He was finding jumping out a bit hard ImageIkigai the baby fennec finds his sandbox by TamanduaGirl, on Flickr

Aaaw! I love the videos of Ikigai! I think it's so cute that the wheel scares him so bad. He just does a sudden jump away. It's funny. I'm glad he is already fitting in well and exploring his enclosure. He better appreciate the enclosure too! I'm sure he already does though, especially with finding the sand.

Baby fennecs are so adorable, and your little man is no exception. Please keep sharing pics of him. :)

Lol, yeah that was funny. The wheel is just sitting there doing nothing and he jumps away like it just appeared there. Well he has eaten near it and has had to go past it to get up the ramp so he at least accepts it's presence now.

He loves the enclosure and knows it's home. He's been out a bit but likes to go back in. It's his safe place already.

He did that sudden jump away from Beaker last night. I just got him out because he was crying and since they both sniffed through the crate thought they were interested.

Today Ikigai got excited to see Beaker and did happy squeaks and tail wags and zipping. Beaker freaked and ran from the room. They'll get used to each other eventually.

He's been humping me guess he likes me.

Thank you. Got his first blog post up covering day one. We're on day 2 already but some stuff came up. He's doing fine though and has a vet check tomorrow.

dang Ikigai was sleeping on the pillow behind me when he suddenly started gekkering like a tazzy devil/cat fight. Lord, scared the heck out of me. He must have had a nightmare but he just kept freaking out so I picked him up in a towel and held him then put him up for the night. Mad fennec's are scary little gremlins.

Mary,

your fennec is so darn adorable. loved the picts and videos.
has he been introduced to Beaker and Pua yet?

Your foxes name is quite unique. If I had to pronounce it, I don't 'think I could.
what ever happened to the old "tom, dick or harry" (just kidding)

your fennec looks like he made himself at home pretty quick. thats because he knows he has an excellent home now.

where did you get the light up ball?
