Hmmm, so if I don't give Ikigai a chick he just picks at his rabbit dinner but when he gets a chick during the day he eats all of his rabbit dinner. Would have expected the opposite. Guess chicks are appetite stimulating.

The carpet squares are working great. He pees on his pads in the condo and digs and chews the cardboard lounge scratcher and he has dug at the new bed some, but no problems with that yet.

Sometimes I wish I could just casually pick Ikigai up and lay him on my chest or lap and keep petting him, but I didn't get a cat, I got a fennec and they aren't cool with that. But then when I reach back to pet him and he starts licking my fingers and it's all cool.

I put Ikigai's morning chick to thaw and got called away and forgot till I was making Beaker's dinner so gave it to Iki and he thought since he had dinner early it was time for bed. So he went under the bed then called for me to lay and pet him, so I did for a little bit.

Long day out doing stuff so sat down to have some soup and watch YT to relax and Ikigai decides to start flying all over and goes across my shoulders. So I think "okay, that's fine long as you don''t land in my soup". So guess what happens a split second after I thought that, lol. Okay, PJ time early, then.

Ikigai inadvertently made a nice Christmas photo
Image

He got scared because I was deep cleaning his cage, the sound of the rugs being drug around, and ran from the room. I sat on the floor as he explored and calmed down. He only let me grab him after I started loving on Beaker and he was compelled to come check what made him so special. He did find that tree interesting though.
