Petition the EPA: Ban neonicotinoids before the insecticide kills off bees
Watchdog is (a little) nuts about the way they approach some things (such as the sensationalist approach they take on things to get people's attention, but they're not nearly as terrible as PETA and other groups), but we really do need to spread awareness about our bee population taking a serious nosedive because of these pesticides.
Clicking the link above will take you to their website where you can sign their petition to the EPA. There are other things you can do to help, which I believe there may be links to on there, but there's things you can do at home, too, like planting flowers that attract bees (to a safe place where there aren't harmful chemicals sprayed), not using insecticides that specifically kill bees or can do serious damage to them (the ones that are most harmful are neonicotinoid pesticides which are not only used in agriculture, but in lawn and garden products as well).
A new Harvard study fingers neonics as the key driver of colony collapse disorder
The study linked in this article is the same one the petition cites as the leading source of proof that neonicotinoids are responsible for the majority of the bee population decline.
