It's much to long to repaste here, but I encourage you guys to give it a read and see what you think. Very thought provoking and I found myself agreeing all the way through.

Excellent article! Thank you for sharing. I, too, agreed with much that was written.
On a personal note, I was turned down to adopt 2 years ago by an Australian Shepherd rescue of national renown because in their phone 'interview' with me, I answered 'no' to the questions of would I apply Frontline monthly and dose monthly with heartworm preventative. No matter that I 'passed' on everything else that they required of a good adopter OR the fact that my vet recommends heartworm is NOT necessary for the area in which we live. Yeah, some of these organizations that are proported to care deeply about the animals they're attempting to save sometimes don't have a clue. And it's a shame because they screw up more animal's lives than they need to. :-x

2 Dogs - a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, & an Australian Shepherd; 3 Cats; 2 horses, 1 mule; One very spoiled raccoon and the love of my life, Dewey James, and the recently added but much adored, Bobby Lee, brother raccoon to Dewey
