bladder cancer from chlorine in our water

Postby RHEAS Dad » Tue Feb 03, 2015 3:02 pm

My Mom had it and so did my wonderful female Maine Coon mix.
This is in east bay of Ca with EAST BAY MUNI water system.
A friend has it at age 54 and another friend lost his Mom to it:( all drink same water.
I heard chlorine in all its forms causes it. Needless to say, I give my shelter rescues filtered water only.
Also find that my 2 cats need separate water bowls so they drink more often. They prefer stainless to ceramic. I change it every day.

Wow that is a high incidence of one type of cancer. I've never even known anyone with it. Spent the first half of my life in more rural areas though so had clean water. Then we moved to the suburbs and all our fish died the first time I changed out the water in the tank so we filter our water too. Figured if it's killing the fish it's not good for us either. Of course we also found out about the stuff you use to neutralize the chlorine and stuff in the fish water but again still not good for us.

Which is why I really, really appreciate the fact that we have well water.
