Hoofed animals not listed in this forum

I just went to a local exotic animal auction. The staff did a good job of both getting a good deal for the seller, and being open with potential bidders about health issues. There was a really good line up of animals, (I was pining over a four-eyed opossum) but the show stopper was a male sable antelope. The arena door opened, and you could hear him strike hooves like flint rock and snort like a bull. There was a pause, and then he slowly entered, his tall horns barely clearing the doorway. The entire auction house fell into a still silence so deep, it was hard to remember how loud and busy it had been moments earlier. He charged a handler, and the power and intelligence behind him was immense. He clashed his horns with a metal sheild with all the skill and clatter of a jouster. His muscle would have far outshown the handler's had a gate not been between them. As he left, the crowd breathed a sigh in unison. Talk took time to build back in waves, rippling slowly behind his exit. A truly amazing animal to see up close.
You should see the bull bison. That's a show!
