Ok, I have another question..... On leaving for our Fl. Trip our Emu BigBird was sitting 6 eggs. I was surprised to find him sitting 7 eggs when we got back. Today on checking we found him sitting 8 eggs. So the big question is.... Are these last 2 eggs going to be viable/fertile . Do they still do "it" after he starts sitting.
Can you candle them and see? If there's veins inside and it's a pinkish glow, then they're fertile. At least, that's how it is for reptile eggs, but they're leathery and not hard like a bird egg.
