Thats about the same for a good quarter horse colt but no by no means is that cheap. Thanks for the info.

Here in Sweden we (obviously) have humongous amounts of them. (You can have some!)
All running free in the forests year round, occupying just over half the country, but all are privately owned livestock.

Also we have a racist law here that says only sami people can own them. -.-
My main interest is in parrots, dogs, toothed whales and snakes.
Future animals I want to have when we have land are camels, wolfdogs/wolves, coyotes or jackals, striped hyena or aardwolf. Also poultry, rabbits water buffalo and/or yak for livestock.

Well, sort of. It's like the US law that allows natives to hunt whales but not anyone else. They allow it because it's traditional way of life for them. Or the fact Natives can have Bald Eagle feathers but no one else can. So similarly it sounds like Sweden doesn't approve of owning reindeer but allows the natives because it's traditional for them. The concept is respectable, the foolish part is thinking it's not okay for anyone to have reindeer.
