Anyone have info On Juliana Pigs?
I have been interested in having a pig as a companion...well a smaller version of a pig and I have been doing some reserch on Juliana pigs recently and have found that they weight between 30-50 lbs as adults if on a healthy diet and can be at least 13-15 inches in height. And would just like to know if this is true or not. And if they are able to live indoors (which im sure they are but may need some kind of exercise such as walks). And if they need a special diet I do know that they need a special mini pig food since regular farm hog food packs on the pounds for these guys. But lets say with a mixture or the "Mini" pig food could you add the regular fruits and vegetables in there as well as treats?

I have no experience with these pigs but here is a pet pig website http://www.petpigeducation.com/
According to their pig breeds page the height range is 13-18 inches and they should weigh 50 pounds plus and not as low as 30 like some sources say. http://www.petpigeducation.com/pig-breeds.html
There are a lot of "Juliana's" on my local craigslist and many are obvious scams or at the least very misinformed sellers. So be careful where you purchase if you decide to get one.

And that 50+ means 50 is the minimum. The average will be like 90-110. Pot bellies are like 120-150. Pigs take several years to reach full size but can breed really young so it's easy for breeders to fool people.

not that I know a lot about the mini pigs. only from some people that had or have them.
most pigs, even mini's do better outside. a pigs instinct is to "root" I know a guy that had a pot belly pig and kept the pig in his house.
the pig rooted up his kitchen floor. I use to raise meat pigs, and wow, can they do some rooting outside. don't need a tiller for a garden with them
if you really want a mini pig, consider an outdoor enclosure, but, you can also try bringing him in the house for short visits.
