I have a baby channel cat in my tank right now. Here is one I caught while fishing (I'm not sure what kind it is)

Nice fish! I remember when I was little my dad caught this catfish, it just fitted in the bathtub. It was my new pet (I thought) but my dad just "cleaned" it with fresh water before it landed on our dinner table.
I could not eat it!
Weirdly enough I could it the fish I caught on that day, but just not the one I could pat for a few days...

I think too that catfish are good eating, but in Australia I encountered so many times that people catch them and let them die because they are a pest. Or cut their fins off and chuck them back in the water! :twisted: :twisted:

That's really dumb. People do about the same thing to carp over here only they toss them on the bank and let them die or the stomp on their heads to kill them and then leave them on the bank. It's not like the carp introduced themselves here. I'm pretty sure if I tossed a foreign person (no offense to any forein people) on the bank, crushed their head and left them there I'd be in some pretty deep sh**.
