Thank you for letting us know, I'm a puddle of tears, but thankful for the chance to give my condolences. What a great relationship, it was delightful to watch them.

I am sorry to hear that. I know how hard it is to lose our babies.
my oldest fox died last last year. he lived a average life. he would have been 13 a few months before he died.

He passed away from liver failure, I believe. But he had diabetes too. :(

I saw it this morning and I feel so bad for the owner. You know how much they loved Loki. I'll miss seeing updates.

Fatty liver disease and Diabetes is Directly caused from a bad diet from either beef or pork and lack of tureen and not enough protein and male fox are the most effected. Females rarely get diabetes and fatty liver disease . To avoid this your fox must stay on a diet primarily of a poultry based food that has a high tureen content . This is breeding season and that really saps the tureen out of the males system . When the tureen level in the males system drops the liver for some reason drawls all of the body fat to the liver like a magnet . It plugs up the liver and it shuts downs in a matter of a few hours

Rest in peace, Loki.

Been following him for years now. Noel is a very nice guy who was happy to chat with me about foxes and exotic pet ownership in general.

I wonder if he'll get another fox some day?
5 Dogs, 2 cats, 2 leopard geckos, 1 guinea pig, 1 axolotl, and a coatimundi currently in my family. :)

Exotic "wishlist": red fox, arctic fox, gray fox, bat eared fox, fennec fox, mink, muntjac deer, owl (any species).
