Hey there! First, please visit the below link here. It will help point you in the right direction when it comes to finding the law.

http://sybilsden.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=13113

I found the law. Because I know where to look, it only took me 10 minutes. I'm not saying this to boast, but finding legalities is a GREAT and ESSENTIAL skill to develop on your own. It makes life so much easier. I highly encourage you to practice this skill. Search the website, call the numbers there, talk to city hall. If you own a fox, this is going to be a big part of your life (doing this research, even if it seems impossible). So it is imperative you develop the skill as soon as you can.

Look at city code. If you can't find it online, request a printed copy.

As I said in the link to the other post, I don't like handing out the info because I really do feel it is VERY important for the researcher to learn how to find it. Also, because I have no idea who the person I'm giving the information to is. That being said, if you follow all of the instructions I gave in the link above and still cannot find anything, then I will gladly help point you in the right direction. :)))

Disclaimer: I hope you don't take this as me being patronizing and unhelpful. The research part honestly helps weed out the uncommitted. If it was all up online for every single curious individual to view, then anyone who wants a "cute and cuddly fox!" will be able to have access to that information. (Well, the information is there for them to access, but it takes a dedicated researcher to find it.)

Is it legal in Weber County or Ogden City/surrounding areas?
I’ve been done research online but have only been able to find laws regarding rabies shots. Our local library is currently closed so I have not been able to go there.

Weber:

Ogden:

I just skimmed through the laws real quick, so there very well may be restrictions or a ban on owning such animals. I'm assuming that the entire law is not found online and you will have to call for the rest. Since they say specifically that snakes over 9' in length are considered wildlife, I'm assuming there's a ban in there somewhere that I didn't see. Hopefully I'm wrong and it's legal, but if you read through these laws you'll be able to find that out.

Looking at the links is still confusing so we will be making some phone calls. It’s looks like it may be restricted but also may not be restricted since foxes can have a rabies shot.

Foxes CAN have a rabies shot but it is off label and not approved or proven in foxes.
