She's in Thailand but people are already getting in line wanting to import babies from them.

Aaw, they're so cute now that they're older. I love seeing the differences between the two. I really hope they can be brought in to the US.

This makes me so excited! I hope US breeders are able to import some here for the pet trade.

Also, if leucism can be reliably bred, would it become a color morph? Or would is just be a leucistic fennec? Because if it's a color morph, they'd technically be considered domesticated, right? Due to their genetics being altered from wild populations for human gain (Like ranch red and arctic foxes). icon_confused.gif

This is really cool though! About time we get a color morph from a fennec fox!

All the morphs are just genetic mutations so if it can be reliably bred it would be a morph. We could give them a fancy morph name to help, cream fennecs, latte fennecs?

Cream is commonly what the light colored fennec was called when was still hypothetical but I really like ivory for a color name for this.

Made a poll on what we should call the leucistic fennecs!

I always thought it would be neat if there were different colors of Fennecs and Grays like there is in Red foxes. Grays seem to be more what some people want in a Red from what I read as far as being ok indoors and liking attention. (Oatley loves being cuddled and petted and cuddles up with me at night). I feel like if there was more color variation people might look into Fennecs and Grays more. I'd like to see a all black or blueish gray fennec. icon-smile
